Garmin DriveSmart 66 EX GPS Navigation Device

I needed a GPS for my patrol car and I saw the store had this Garmin at a discounted price. I really did not have time to stop in the store and grab one so I searched it on the app and found it at the same discounted price! Great in-car GPS for the price!

Great product. Works well. Our old one died at the beginning of a 5000 mile journey so the new one was a real blessing. Got us back home safe after many miles of finding our way.

There are some areas that I feel it should have picked up to direct to but didn't. My job expects me to go to different homes and several of them it would not find. I returned it.

This unit isn't like my previous Garmin, which I used for over 10 years. It was pretty much plug and play. I had difficulty using this one and ultimately unhooked it and used my phone maps instead for my trip and returned this one as soon as I got back home. It kept losing signal and wouldn't show me the street display.

The. Reason I'm giving this a low rating is the wait time on the down load. The garmin arrived when promised. We started the down load and it said 32 hours. We thought maybe a couple of hours. What a shock to see how long it is taking. It's a good thing we bought this a couple of weeks before our trip. We wanted to try this out before our trip we still have 18 hours to go before it's finished. After waiting such a long time for the device to update we're hoping we even like it. If you buy this don't expect to use it right away don't buy it if you don't have 2 days to wait. What we don't understand why it takes so long to for to update. We thought it load a lot faster. You would think a new device would be ready to use. We hope we like it after such a long wait to try it. If we don't like it we're are running out of time to buy something different and I don't think it will be a Garmin. Our Garmin that we've had for 15 years never to so long to update. Very disappointed on wait.

Never knows where it's going, constantly incorrect!

Would not power on, troubleshoot per manual. No success. Purchased locally at a different Big Box store and we do not have any issues with the unit. Received a speedy refund, Thank you!

Doesn't charge. Was sent a Garmin that had obviously been returned already! Very frustrated that Walmart sent me a product that they knew was defective. It only partially charges and battery dies after a 5 mile drive!

I rated it that way because I not received it although you said it was delivered to my house it was not. My view of the product might change if I actually received it.

I think item would have been good, but it's been delivered somewhere else, I never received it!! How can I return something I never received? House number is on the front door....can drivers not handle that?
