Lots of upgrades over my old Fenix 3. I think I actually like the “middle size”. Not as impressive as a watch, but easier to wear for golf and bike. Have to realize that all the screens are the same size, only the cases and bezel are different. Test is much bolder font and my older eyes can see it better. Still has issues with the light responding to “gestures” (its supposed to come on when you raise your arm and wrist), but not enough to knock it down a whole star. I'd give it 4-1/2 stars just because of that, but hoping Garmin will fix with an update soon.
Great watch ! If you are into fitness and especially running, this watch is for you. The only time i take it off is when im about to shower or i need to charge it. Overall its a great looking watch and perfect size.
Purchased this for my husband as he's training for a triathlon. This watch gives him the stats and data that he was looking for.
A lot of great technology packed in this watch. Easy to use.
This is a great fitness watch... has everything you need and more.
I am an avid runner and I love this Garmin!
For the price, I don't think you will find a better GPS watch. I run 2400+ miles a year, and this does everything I could possibly want. (I have had several Garmin devices over the years and have always been pleased with them.) It wasn't mentioned on the item page, but I received the Sapphire Edition. It is a little on the big/heavy side for a watch, but not much more than the 920xt which was my last model, and the plus side of it being bigger is the bigger screen.
Bought this when it was on sale for $359. Great value. Debated going to an Apple Watch, but hate having to recharge every night and quite honestly they just cant do all the functions that I wanted, i.e. sleep statistics, indoor exercise stats, and swimming stats.to my satisfaction. I have been using Garmin wrist devices for years, the vivoactive and vivoactive HR and really like the Garmin Connect app/website to look at workout/vital stats. Being able to have Garmin topographic maps at your finger tips and utilizing the 'breadcrumb' feature to map hikes is incredible. I was also pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy using the watch to stream music to my bluetooth headphones, I can ditch the phone! It also utilizes sapphire glass, so no worries about scratching watch face and it can connect to your home wifi automatically to sync statistics if you want. The only downsides are the recharging cable (wish it had wireless charging) and the fact that my bank doesn't participate in Garmin Pay. This is a great value, as the Fenix 6 seems to only have the addition of an O2 sensor, which most report is inaccurate and drains the battery too much. I wish I would have bought it earlier.
Great watch
This watch has alot of great features for those who are very active . Personally its not for me , the screen is not very bright like my samsung. Its also frustrating to use. If you are a technical person then by all means go for it. I return this watch replacing it with a ticwatch 3 which is much simpler and easier to use. The screen is a delight to look at and features are more simpker and practical.
