Great Watch!

Teomiami December 30, 2019

This watch has everything anyone needs. The only disappointment is, I thought it came with a metal wristband in a bigger box with an extra silicon (soft) wristband. There were plenty of YouTube videos that actually shows the two wristbands when opening the brand new watches in boxes.

Disabled veteran fitness

Vizion 13bravo June 19, 2019

As a disabled veteran with really bad knees. My fitness plan had to change, I was using the Apple Watch as a daily motivator, but it felt very juvenile I. The aspect it was give me basic results. Now the fenix gives me so much more. I’m loving this journey

A lot of features and very customizable

IRONBONE December 17, 2019

2nd day of wearing and I’m trying to figure everything out at once; So far this smart watch is smarter than me; My only complaint is it’s not bright enough; I’ve got the backlight & the brightness at 100%; Any advice would be appreciated; Thanks!!!

Outstanding and complete watch!

Schmo17 August 21, 2019

Incredible watch through and through. Solid performance across a variety of great features! Best watch purchase in years. I put this in a class with my Breitling Super Avenger II ... with loads more functionality! Well done, Garmin! (PS - Go with the Fenix 5X Plus ... you won’t be disappointed)

Great watch but has quirks!

Jake74 July 2, 2019

The watch has some amazing features but I do agree with many of the previous reviews I've read. The watch face is not bright. It would be nice if it was brighter but I'm sure that would eat the battery. It takes time to figure out how to run all the features. You wont have it figured out in 10 minutes, at least I didn't. The interface and syncing of the watch with programs is not stellar. I have two apps on my phone and one on my computer to do all the updates and access other downloadable features required. This is cumbersome and takes more time to update than it should and the interface is not always reliable with "errors". I do not like that the only music you can put on the watch, is through additional services you have to pay for. This is very disappointing. With all that complaining aside, I do really like the watch. There are lots of pluses. Once you figure out how to operate the watch and software to its fullest, there are a ton of great things you can do with it.

Third party map installation software doesn't work

LeeR December 31, 2018

I purchased this for a land survey job in the Guam jungles. Unfortunately, Garmin does not have any Topo maps for this area, so I had to buy a third party Topo map. Apparently, ever since the update (almost a year ago) the third party map installation software does not work.

Takes time

Hernandezjv March 3, 2019

As far as I can tell the watch itself isnt bad. The only issue that I'm having is navigating throughout the watch. Coming from a smartwatch with touchscreen this is a bit difficult to get used to. However, I've had associates with older models and they love it. Give me about 30 days and I'm sure my review will be different. ( for the better)

Great Watch but needs improvement

Hammerhead December 14, 2019

The watch is great, but the band sucks badly! Also, the treadmill feature sucks because if your arms are not moving it does not register distance. We all know that for safety issues you should hold on to the treadmill. Plus when you are at the highest incline at a speed of 4.0 you do not want to let go.....just sayin.... The swimming feature is amazing!

Bootloop still an issue

Severus December 24, 2018

Disappointed how the flagship watch still has bootloop problems. It's one of the most frustrating situations. Being incredibly happy about receiving such an amazing gift from your parents, to realize you can't use it because Garmin hasn't been able to fix their OS. I'm sure I'd love it if I got a working watch, but until then I'll stick to my Fitbit.
