Garmin Fenix 5X Plus Sapphire, Black with Black Band

TL;DR: Expensive, yes, but worth every penny for all the features and long battery life under normal conditions. This has quickly become my daily driver and, when paired with the Garmin Connect app, helped me reign in my health data way better than the several devices I was using before. I'm on track to hit 400 miles of running this year (I barely hit 200 in years prior), I've shaved weight, stayed in motion at work more with reminders to MOVE, seen gains in productivity using the Pomodoro method app (free!) and much much more. Having a silent alarm on my wrist has reduced the number of snooze-hits (and wife hits when my alarm goes and goes) and it's just generally the best investment I've made (since getting married and buying a house). For more running data I've picked up the Running Pod and that's helped track my cadence better, especially when pushing a stroller (BOB Ironman). Runners, yogis, swimmers, bikers of skinny and wide tires, skiers, hikers, hunters, travelers, and generally anyone who likes being active will appreciate this wrist computer (let's be honest) and see gains by using it to full potential. The fact that the lens material is so strong (I've smacked it against kettlebells) is yet another selling point - try smacking kettlebells against an Apple Watch!

I've only had the watch for a few days but can already see that it's going to modify (for the better) my focus on fitness. I was a longtime fitbit customer and am blown away at the in-depth statistics generated from workouts completed over the weekend. The durability of the 5x plus is incredible (it's built like a tank) and I have no concerns taking it on my 10 day hiking trip this summer. The Garmin Connect IQ app is impressive not only for it's ability to customize the watch but also for it's interoperability with other apps like Strava and My Fitness Pal. Go Garmin!

I bought this watch as a birthday present for myself and I'm happy I did. This watch is well made with lots of features for any outdoor activity. One thing I noticed is the screen is easy to read in sunlight with or without sun glassess. The watch face can be changed to your likings and there are a lot of free apps available for the watch. This watch is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Well done Garmin!

I'm glad I put off writing this reviews for a few day - if I'd reviewed it earlier I would have only given it 4 stars because of the lack of Deezer. But as of yesterday, Deezer is now available and it's fantastic! As for the other features of the watch, Garmin has been at it for a long time and they've definitely got this all dialed in. Great design, great features, and phenomenal battery life. If you're looking for a watch designed specifically for activities, this is the way to go.

I've used a Fitbit, Apple Watch, and now the Garmin 5X Plus. Hands down this is the best fitness and activity tracker, GPS, and smart watch! It tracks everything, steps, floors climbed, distance, sleep, HR, and Oxygen. Works seamlessly with the Garmin Connect where you can modify the contents, music, watch faces, widgets, and specific data points. Mapping, way points, workout routes etc. all tracked from the watch. Highly recommend it!!

I bought the watch about a week ago and while I love the watch, the 5X is a bit bigger than I thought. Wish I would have gone with just the 5. Something to keep in mind when buying this product. Also, wish they gave recommendations on wireless headphones to use with the Fenix. Other than that, all good!

Watch has a great GPS and exercise tracking. The functions are a little clunky but the durability seems to be there. Battery life seems to be pretty good. I would have liked to seen some more smartwatch features for the price but overall pretty pleased with it.

Bought a few weeks ago after researching for nearly a year! Had Apple 1,2,3 smart watches, but Garmin is the GPS God in tracking all my athletics. I have the 51mm and I’m a man with a man wrist definitely not bulky. The features are great and to work the watch is very easy. After having open heart surgery, I opt to get my fitness in order, this time piece is amazing and helping me every step of the way. Even in the Florida sun no heavy glare on the screen! This is beautiful!

As a disabled veteran with really bad knees. My fitness plan had to change, I was using the Apple Watch as a daily motivator, but it felt very juvenile I. The aspect it was give me basic results. Now the fenix gives me so much more. I’m loving this journey

2nd day of wearing and I’m trying to figure everything out at once; So far this smart watch is smarter than me; My only complaint is it’s not bright enough; I’ve got the backlight & the brightness at 100%; Any advice would be appreciated; Thanks!!!
