Garmin Forerunner 945 LTE Smartwatch, Black (010-02383-00)

I've been an avid runner for decades and have used several Forerunner models. I'm in my 80s and regularly run on forest trails away from cellular coverage, and have been looking for a practical way for my family to know where I am. The Forerunner 945 LTE provides just what I've been looking for. My guess is that I use about 5 % or less of its capability since I only use it for running/hiking. Having used it now for a few weeks I'm just getting comfortable with the LiveTracking feature (hope I don't need the SOS but good to know it's there). Ruggedness and functionality are well thought out (typical Garmin). Once again, I've declared Garmin the gold standard.

I am a competitive high school runner, and I use this for my runs everyday. It connects to speakers and headphones extremely easily, and once getting spotify set up its easier to use then ur phone. I LOVE THIS WATCH!!!! and its very cute serious im not joking its amazing and its accurate, and it says ur vo2 max and stuff and its lightweight and beautiful. it also says ur notifications and texts and stuff and it only took like an hour to cOMPLETely set up. if you are looking for a good watch for running, biking, swimming, or anything athletic, get this!!!!

I got my new Garmin about 4 weeks ago, and it's working well. I love that it's a lightweight watch.

I've had Fitbit's for years... since they first came out. When my third one started showing signs of imminent failure, I started looking for something else. Enough with Fitbit, who's sleep tracking has always been... iffy. I went for this 945 LTE based on reviews and the astounding feature set. I've had it for a couple weeks... and I'm blown away by it's accuracy, ease of use and reliability. I'm sold on Garmin, and specifically this watch. It's very lightweight (I barely notice it's there... great for having on while sleeping), and it's a perfect size for my 6.5" wrists. The sleep tracking is amazingly accurate, as its GPS, which in the 7 or 8 sessions so far, has never been more than a meter or two off. While I haven't gotten into more than 10 or 15% of its capabilities, I can't imagine it will let me down. After taking a hike / climb this past weekend, and I was amazed and blown-away by the amount of data, graphs, etc. that I was able to pull-up. I love the altitude graphics, and being able to superimpose my heartrate, pace, etc. on top of it. Brilliant. I've installed a couple free watch faces that are data-rich and truly remarkable. The Garmin dashboard is mind-numbingly detailed. More information than I could ever imagine possible from a wrist-based tracker. With it, you can dig deep into your sleep patterns, movement, Blood Oxygen levels and so much more. I'm completely sold on this watch / tracker. One of the best, and most useful gifts I've ever given myself.

I received as a birthday gift from my daughter. I have been a long distance runner since 1977 (47 years). She wanted to bring me into the 21st century in terms of technology. I must admit this is a fascinating watch that monitors everything during my runs. Plus, it tracks all my miles and offers training suggestions. Unbelievable!

When I first bought this watch, I joked that it would make me run faster. Well it's no joke! As the watch learns your habits and you follow suggested workouts, you do end up in better shape and my times for both 5 and 10K have dropped significantly. Just be certain what you are using it for. If you are planning on more arduous activities ie Mountain Biking, I would go for a Garmin with a more durable glass such as the Fenix Sapphire.

I upgraded from the 935 to the 945 LTE. The operating of the watch is very similar to my old watch. learning the new bells and whistles has been easy enough. The data collected and shown at the end of the workouts has been great. it pairs with my other Garmin equipment wonderfully. The look of the watch is also great. the graphics and the colors are a big change. I also love the way that if you are wearing headphones that it speaks your lap times. Great job, Garmin.

When beginning my rehab from a nasty injury my partner got me a Garmin watch for my birthday and I have not taken this thing off. It tracks everything from my sleep and steps through to detailed analysis of a huge range of sporting activities and the impact they're having on my health as I return to sport. This is one of their top spec models so may not be suitable for a budget conscious consumer or overkill for someone that's just looking for a step tracker but if you're serious about fitness this watch rocks!

Great watch, and like especially that with LTE I can leave my phone at home. If I need emergency help I have it. Dont want calls and messages while out on my adventures. Please add this to the next FR965 replacement. I am all in on the LTE features and wont upgrade without it.

I have now had 3 of the 945 LTE. It is extremely disappointing that you pay so much money and just get constantly disappointed. It is Definitely NOT worth it for the LTE. Maybe Garmin will improve it over time but let's see. Sadly, I have not had the best of luck with the watches from this to the Fenix so maybe it is time to move on. They have great customer service but the products are far from great unless they are doing what they are made to do.
