this is garbage will not activate satellites always down when trying to activate

So, I will assume that if you can actually get this thing activated, it will perform as promised. I cant say so, because I am about 4 hours into trying to get it set up. There is a process wherein you need to establish an account, agree to pay some very high pricing for services, which are not refundable, and then it the unit will be activated an use-able. Another garmin product that charges a premium price, disappoints on service/support, and disappoints overall--- and all that before I have even used the thing. Search "garmin in reach activation problems" before you buy. Be prepared for hours of work and waiting on hold praying that their phone operators (closed weekends) will take your call. Garmin should be embarrassed by what they charge and the quality of their service and the primitive basecamp that they offer to support their other gps products. If I pay hundreds for this unit, and then agree to pay hundreds more per year for monitoring service, can you at least make my setup process simple and painless. Your customer's time is valuable-- at least to this customer. PLEASE someone come out with a suite of competing products and put Garmin out of business.
