Really enjoy the look and the feel

airewok January 27, 2026

I got this watch about 2 weeks ago. Super easy to sync up with my phone. I had the Fenix 5 that was almost 10 years old and wanted an upgrade. I was looking for something that actually resembled a watch but also had notifications like the Fenix. I am getting older so not nearly as much need for moving maps, etc. This watch still has light years more functionality than I will ever use but the things it does checks everything on my list. Once again, look and feel were super important and this watch does that well. The price is quite reasonable considering my other options appeared to venture into several grand range. Totally recommend for those that want a watch feel and look rather than a computer screen attached to their wrist. Not hating on that but was ready for something a bit different.

Best of both watch worlds

Dre G June 16, 2026

I got the yellowish one and I love this watch! I wanted the features of a Garmin but the looks of a traditional watch, this delivers on those two desires. Now, it will be a dream if Garmin can incorporate the physical hands into their Marq products.

Instinct amoled

Bob1964 January 3, 2026

Have the original instinct solar, this is the hybrid I have been waiting for, aligned with the stars. Fits perfectly on a small wrist. I have looked for the perfect watch, this is it a balance of function and form. I am very happy with the end result of this amazing watch.

Perfect Watch for me - Instinct Crossover Tactical

tomcole12 December 29, 2025

I have had this watch for a month and couldn't be happier. I had the Instinct Crossover Solar and liked it but it was hard to see information on the face and the hands were very hard to see in the evening and at night. This watch remedies all of these issues. I love analog watches and this gives me the best of both digital and analog world. It also replace a Garmin Marq 2 Athlete and I don't miss that watch with the my new Crossover Tactical.

Great watch!

earnric June 8, 2026

Love it. Great display, but you don't need to turn your wrist to activate the display to see the time... That's the benefit of having mechanical arms! The display is bright and the functions as you would expect from Garmin -- on the mark.

2nd Garmin

Softball Doc November 12, 2025

My first watch was an instinct solar a few years ago. I gifted it to my son. Absolutely loved the simplicity and function. I currently have the Fenix 8 AMOLED and decided to get the Crossover AMOLED as a second watch. I use it when I'm doing very vigorous activities where I need durability…such as during softball practice, hiking, or biking. I'm loving it!

Very pleased - and actually helps sleep!

TyTy December 16, 2025

Well made, comfortable (even for wearing while sleeping), and I really appreciate the red light on the torch for middle of the night - not only is the red less jarring, but keeps me from grabbing my phone as a light then doom scrolling instead of falling back to sleep. Hands are easy to see, amoled screen shows just enough information, watch looks great with screen on or off. Checks all the boxes, for me, of an all day activity tracker that looks just as fine on a hike or in an office and holds a charge for well over a full week. I suppose one ask would be the possibility of a solar amoled for extended time between charges, but no complaints.

Going on my 4th week with my Garmin Instinct Crossover. Love the options and user friendliness. Great investment.

Good and bad

Wolvie June 17, 2026

So the watch feels very nice except for the buttons. Being that the watch has that nice metallic finish around it I would like to see the Fenix buttons on it. The plastic buttons feel cheap and sometimes tough to find. I love being able to just look at the watch with the screen off and see the time. After coming back to Garmin from Samsung Galaxy Watch and then Amazfit I realized Garmin is lacking in some areas. Like my Dr wanted me to measure my pulse ox. This happened while owning the Amazfit. The Amazfit measures just fine. It also tells you every measurement listed out as well in a graph form. Garmin only does graph form. My other issue is I have to manually put my watch into sleep mode. I'm on a six week rotating schedule for work. I'm not going into Garmin and changing my sleep schedule every single week to make this work. But the Garmin doesn't record pulse on while setup for during sleep mode if you manually put into sleep mode when going to bed. You have to have your sleep schedule made up correctly. Amazfit didn't care. If I asked for pulse ox during sleep, it took it after manually turning sleep on. Also what's up with battery life on Garmin. When it does take pulse ox it kills like 10%. Amazfit took off 1-2%. I'm really considering leaving Garmin again because of their poorly optimized OS. It's a battery hog when getting health readings. I came back because I wanted a realistic looking watch with real hands. So I'll give it a go for a little while longer to see if Garmin does anything but I'll put this out there. If Amazfit makes a watch with real hands sometime soon. I'm getting it. I'm betting battery life on it with an amoled display will be 30-40 days. And that's taking your health metrics. I'd actually love to see a larger crossover. One that utilizes the 26mm quickfit bands. Overall the watch itself is cool. Needs some updates mentioned above to make Garmin as a whole better. Love the flashlight. GPS works great. Notifications work great. Be cool if Garmin added the ability to take calls. Not needed but I'd like a microphone mostly to reply to text messages by voice.

Very Disappointed – Constant Hand Misalignment

DDAh November 4, 2025

I recently purchased the Garmin Instinct Crossover AMOLED, and I am extremely disappointed with this model. The analog hands constantly fall out of alignment and need manual calibration several times a day. I have updated the firmware, verified time synchronization, performed manual calibration, and even completed a full factory reset — yet the issue continues. I own three other Garmin watches and have always been very satisfied with their performance, which makes this experience even more frustrating. The software and features are excellent, but this specific model seems to have a serious issues. Avoid this model!!! it is worthless
