I've had my instinct for 5 years and absolutely love it. Far as I'm concerned it payed for itself the first time I was chasing my dogs in the big swamp and it clouded over. It guided me out perfectly. It has literally saved my butt many many times since
I have had my Garmin Instinct for a while now. I wore it recently on holidays to Turkey. On a cruise and whilst swimming it flipped off my hand as the clasp broke. It went down too deep to dive for, but on the return trip on the cruise 7 days later I had someone dive for it and found it on the bottom of the seabed about 8 metres down, all working and still going. Awesome.
Garmin Instinct - not the latest model, but with so many years of top performance a person eventually gets around to writing a review. This watch, like all Garmin equipment Ive used (UHF/VUF radios/ In-Reach, Aviation suites) is 100% dependable. Tough and can be relied on. The screen is large enough to see without glasses, I know that when Im in the mountains or just walking a day in the forest I can know ewxactly where I am and at what elevatton. Knowing if air pressure is dropping quicker than the weather forcast advised is incredibly usefull too. Music control and notifications I dont use as much but nice ti have that functionality too. Thanks team- Having this watch on my wrist is reassuring
The watch I bought goes for $300 and I bought it from you all for $170, a much more reasonable price point if you stripped the Garmin name brand away from the watch. For its functions and features $170 is a very fair price and you all allowed me to make this investment. I also got it in an extremely timely manner (6 days is unheard of in my experience)
I've had this watch for years now, probably close to 5 years. I'm a law enforcement officer and have found more than a handful of uses for this watch. It is very practical. I liked the fact that it didn't look like every other smart watch out there, but with all the features of one. I can read and answer messages with it, answer phone calls, change song with the push of 2 or 3 buttons, rugged as hell, never put a screen protector on it and not a single scratch is visible. Has all the heartrate features as well, GPS, and helps me find my phone every time I misplace it. Battery life is great. Usually lasts me about 2 weeks on a single charge. I have nothing but great things to say about this Instinct. Great work, Garmin.
I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he really likes it. He's been wearing it everyday for a week and so far he loves all the features such as the phone notifications and the step count. I also have a Garmin so we are able to do step challenges which keeps him motivated to keep moving. Only 4 stars because he hasnt gotten to use it for very long so I hope it lasts him for a few years!
I bought my Garmin Instinct watch a few years ago and it has been mostly reliable, however for the past few weeks it keeps disconnecting from my Samsung mobile phone. Although it is relatively easy to pair the watch and phone it has been inconvenient, having to reconnect the watch most weeks. Other than this, this the Garmin Instinct has been very reliable, with ample daily health information.
I would like to inquire why my garmin tactical instinct watch suddenly drains its battery fast. Just yesterday it was still on 2 bars and today when it got low battery, i charged it and fter having full battery it suddenly drained after 2 hrs. Pls help on what to do to bring it back. I still have its original charger with me and is still using it.
Great watch. Lousy app. It took several minutes to install the app. It took at least 2 minutes to log on to my pre-existing account. It took another couple of minutes to connect to the watch. Now that things are up and running, it will be interesting to see if the app remains as cumbersome as it has been. If so, I'll have to switch to a better product.
I've had my instinct for a little over a year now, I still don't understand how to use it. The instructions suck as does the video. Can't see what buttons are being pushed. I'm constantly hitting it on things while at work and it goes into some stupid mode and makes alarms go off or changes to a screen that I'm not sure how to get back to the main screen. I've tried locking the screen but somehow it doesn't stay locked and still does goofy stuff. All I want is the time, notifications and heartrate. Not impressed with this watch.
