Garmin Striker 4, with Portable Kit

Replaced a 20 year old Garmin fish finder with this one and it works as well, if not better than the original.

Bought this. For the soul purpose of keeping it on my kayak and so far so good wasn't to set up

On the ice it was very good. This summer I've had it on 2 different boats and it works great. I had to turn up the display brightness to 100% to see anything in the sun, but once I did that it is fine. It shows depth, fish, weeds as it should. The suction mount works well on any smooth spot. The battery lasts for days and isn't affected by the cold when ice fishing.

I just need to know how to read it. haha.

This unit is a great value! I purchased this mainly for ice fishing and after modifing a transducer mount for it the results have been incredible. It has a flasher mode and a standard mode which shows a constant movement of your lure (even multiple lures). Very easy to work and is guaranteed too catch you more fish!

Worked great ice fishing after adjusting sonar end directly down. Great value, look forward to summer fishing.

So far, I have tried the unit through the ice and really liked it, the ice fishing transducer would work much better as I had to keep adjusting it after catching a fish. Set up and operation so far has gone very well and easy to use. Can't wait to use it on the open water.

Good and portable but the quality of the image fade when moving even at trolling speed. Best at still position only. Not worth the price at this time.
