Great solid smart watch

Venu life April 30, 2026

I bought my Venu 1X about a month ago and the main reason was the upgraded sensors that are more user friendly with my tattooed wrist than my Apple Watch which I had to return. I'm very happy with the health metrics I've been using with this watch, it's opened a whole new world to get real time data. I'll never use all the amazing features this watch provides but the ones I do use will be helpful while navigating the retirement years! Thanks Garmin! Phil J, Carlsbad CA

Best mix of sport and "smart" watch.

mrhaw May 31, 2026

I have used this watch for more than a week now and I'm very pleased. I love the focus modes, the smart watch features - answering a call, WhatsApp etc. The flash light is great. My previous watch was a Fenix 7, before that I was on a Samsung watch. The Venu is the perfect mix of sport and "smart" mixing. Fenix is better suited for ultra-marathons but the Venu X1 have plenty of battery to navigate me on long runs and day trips. I love how fast it charges. 😍

Great watch!

Mdaz May 12, 2026

I've had the beautiful Venu X1 for several weeks now. This is the most comfortable watch, it's so light and does not bother me during the day or while I sleep. The display is gorgeous and there have been no problems with battery life - have it set to gesture. It tracks my workouts well. The flashlight and speaker are a real plus. Love it!

perfect for a cyclist

1958JAG April 30, 2026

Went from a Galaxy 3 to this Venu X1. Large bright screen and many features I appreciate. I am a cyclist with many Garmin bike products, so they play well together. I also train indoor on a Wahoo Kickr bike and the Venu X1 connects seamlessly with it. Awesome!

Great Golf watch.

Louissp May 6, 2026

I bought this really just for golf. I had a Garmin golf watch already. My reason for buying it was the larger screen. Better battery life. Updated graphics. I'm very happy with my decision after using it for 10 rounds or so. I find it even more user-friendly than my older model.

I’ve yet to open it. Assume it’s typical quality of the manufacturer.

Great features bad battery life

Keith51 May 23, 2026

I bought the watch a year ago and I like the watch but the battery does not last long during a longer run.If the battery lasted longer I would give it a five star rating. For the price the battery should last longer. Also,I bought the Fenix 8 51mm and so far I like it.No problems with battery life just have to deal with the weight of the watch.

Great Screen but GPS issue

RB IM May 21, 2026

Unfotunately on my third watch, GPS loss is an issue with this model with no resolution to date. Once GPS connection is lost during an activity, it will never come back. Ive spent hours with Garmin Support (they've been great, (5 Stars), but no resolution to date. They have my prior two watches, I hope they can dig deeper and find the cause and resolution via an update. I really like the watch, the screen is 10/10. Battery life has been no problem, Ive done full Ironman distance with life to spare.

Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda

Garmin Admirer April 17, 2026

I purchased a new venue 3 in the past year and a half that I have since thrown away because my pulse would skyrocket (140+) on the watch while I'm cardio mode. Only going 2 mph at a zero grade, so it wasn't me. Cleaned watch back and wrist several times. Moved along wrist area to find stable measuring point with no luck. I then purchased a venue x1. Loved the colorful screen! The square screen also allowed me to easily view more data, too. Unfortunately, same unstable, high pulse measurements even after calling Garmin support for help. I just gave the watch to my daughter. As the mother of two, she might have a high pulse and be able to use it. Because I LOVE the Connect software, I just decided to try my luck a couple of weeks ago with a new Garmin Instinct 3 thinking that with a different sensor that I'd have better luck with the pulse reading. Nope. I've thrown so much money at Garmin Smart Watches only to be disappointed over and over. It's so sad that their great software has to be paired with, in my experienced opinion, hardware that is so well engineered with such bad sensors. Not sure if they took data while they did live and HALT tests, but you need to try harder, Garmin.

Not good - product misses the mark.

mbz777 May 5, 2026

Garmin misses the mark with this one. Extremely overpriced device for what it provides. So many omissions such as non dual band gps, far too big screen and poor connectivity. The included nylon strap has only 2,5 velcro attachments, making it less durable, especially for activities. Garmin only includes one band, and charges a premium for replacements, I do not recommend this device.
