Good quality

Jodi October 4, 2018

My son has had his people fit Junior to four almost 3 years. We only had to replace the battery once which was very simple to do. He loves it as he likes to keep track of his steps especially soccer days. But loves having a watch as well. My other child has had his for almost a year and also enjoys it. It's a good quality Garmin.

Best fitness watch for young kids

Anonymous May 7, 2021

Vivofit Jr is excellent watch for my son. He loves the total ecosystem designed for kids to encourage activity both online and offline. He is definitely proud when he beats his dad in step. 1-year battery is allows my son to keep the watch on everyday and night. Only knock on it that band keeper breaks/rips.

My 5 year old loves it!

AngelMay3 February 11, 2019

All in all, it is a good device. I like that they are geared towards children, because my kids would not ever wear a plain one. In fact, that is the main reason we went with the Garmin... that and the fact that the battery does not have to be charged. My 5 year old LOVES his. In fact, he's driving us nuts wanting to know how many steps we have (Hubby and I both have Fitbits, so we can't compete through the apps). It would also be really nice if there was a way for the app to read the instructions, instead of the child having to read them. My 5 year old is fine, but my 3 year old cannot yet read, so she isn't so much in to the app because she doesn't know what's going on. He seems to get around on it fine and we're soon going to start implementing the chore rewards. Other than that, we have been pleased. We got the adjustable band. For my 5 year old (and 3 year old) the smallest setting works fine on the adjustable band. Overall, we've been very pleased!

Love the watch. Hate the bands.

Sherry October 5, 2018

My boys love trying to beat their own step records and competing with their friends and teachers at school. “How many steps do you have today?” And, of course, the video games. BUT we dislike the bands. They do NOT last at all. Bands purchased at Christmas were falling apart by the end of June/July. Unfortunately, over the summer, this resulted in one of our watches being lost in a river while camping because fell out of the band! My 10 year old was super upset. And I can’t justify buying another. All the bands we have had - 3 so far - have fallen apart in some way within 6-7 months of having them. It’s really too bad.

Not everything advertised works

BriC December 28, 2019

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and the sleep tracker doesn’t track anything and she gets notifications on her watch but I don’t get them on my phone. I’m disappointed that this watch isn’t working as it’s supposed to. Big letdown. I’m almost tempted to return it.

Love the concept, but it doesn't work.

Bopeterg October 6, 2018

The Vivofit Jr. 2 is a great concept, but after a while me and the kids got tired of constantly struggling to sync the day's activities. Also, we were giving coins for chores, but then randomly my kids got 99,999 coins, maxing it out, so that didn't work anymore.

Connecting to app is really buggy

Hansel 32 December 27, 2019

I think one of the best parts of these activity trackers is being able to connect with the app to view and reward achievements. The app is terrible at connecting. I also only want to connect when the apps is open. The app is a battery drain that they want to run all the time.

App never syncs with vivofit jr 2

Liz123 January 13, 2021

Got this for my son for Christmas he loved it and was so excited. He consistently gets the 60 activity minutes but the app has such a hard time syncing to the watch. It's so frustrating. I have had to reregister his vivofit more than 4 times and it syncs his progress for only once every 3 days. It will not let you manual sync. Basically the app sucks and it's so disappointing to my son who can't do his adventure moves bc his activity minutes won't sync to the app.

Poor lighting

Beckaloo December 28, 2020

I purchased two for the kids for Christmas, set one of the watches up and could barely see the screen. Thought for sure there would be a back screen light function and there wasn't! Returned and got my money back! Wasn't worth the money!! So disappointed

Renners January 20, 2019

It looks good, great that it is water proof BUT we had real trouble connecting it to a smart phone, it doesnt display the time nor does the steps get updated on the phone... shows no activity at all. We have googled and read the manual but still cant work out how to fix the issue...
