Perfect hybrid

Elizabeth T February 22, 2020

Perfect hybrid for those who want the look of a real watch because it is a real watch. To me wearing a big digital face just isn't my style, but I wanted the funtions of a smart watch. This one is great. It looks like a regular watch for everyday wear, but tracks steps, heartbeat, stress, and sleep. It even sends me a reminder to move when I've been sitting at the desk for too long. The battery is long lasting. Currently I'm on day 7 and have about 1/4 battery remaining. The garmin connect app is also super easy to use and gives a ton of information. I'm using the watch with a Samsung S8+ and had no problems connecting. If you're on the fence, give it a try. It's well worth the time to check out.

Great Smartwatch

cparkroadrunner January 19, 2020

I really like my Vivomove HR Smartwatch. I have had it about 2 months now. It records my HR, sleep activities, steps, etc. and I can review all of it on the Connect app on my smartphone. The only downside to the watch is the vibration reminders that I am to far away from my smartphone to connect. There is a short range, however, it continues to record all the data and then syncs it back to the app on my phone when I'm back in range. I can also tell who is texting and calling me from my Smartwatch which is a great feature.

Great looking watch with HR function

nango March 20, 2020

I ordered this watch primarily to function as a HR monitor, as well as doing all the other functions that my Vivosmart does. I love the style of this watch...more traditional than the square face on my other Garmin watch. It was easy to set up, although I did have to contact Garmin to help with connecting it to my app. They were very helpful and easy to reach. I will still use my Vivosmart for golf because it has the GPS function which the Vivomove does not have.

Chill, mindful, & respectful

Anonymous August 8, 2020

This snazzy little device keeps track of heart rate, stress, sleep, steps, exercise, and can lead you through mindful moments of breathing. It is capable of alerting for notifications, yet, is calm when it does so. Alarms can be set, and will persistently and calmly work as reminders. It looks like a normal watch and even ticks as the hands move (only noticed after over a week, when I held it to my ear). I love that it doesn’t actually make noise, doesn’t have a microphone, and can only vibrate to prompt you to look at it. No worries for accidental settings in meetings. I also just love it’s simplicity! The round watch face feels more natural for me. I love the size and feel of it on my wrist. I used to get my fitbit caught on everything, and I’ve been brutal to normal watches. This one though is great. I love that it connects to apple health app on phone as well!

The Satellite Imagery is Amazing

C and A February 8, 2026

The Tread 2 Overland solved a problem for us that seemed to have no other solution. The cost made us a bit reluctant to get it, but it has been well worth it. We highly recommend it for overlanding and explorations of remote wilderness areas. We would have given this device 5 stars except for one issue which is described in the following write-up. We frequently take 4x4 tracks into remote areas of the Arizona Strip. We carry 3 different GPS units plus detailed paper topo maps and a compass. While our 3 GPS units have always agreed on the coordinates, their mapping software placed us at different locations. Even the paper map gave us a location that our eyeballs told us was incorrect. We had to fall back on triangulation off of mountains to find our true location on the paper map. The satellite imagery download allows us to see exactly where we are - no more second guessing the GPS units or the paper map. The satellite view also allows us to "see" what is over the next ridge, and in our first outing using it, we found 2 tracks that we had never seen before. There are some problems with the "Adventure Roads and Trails overlay". In two instances, it indicated 4x4 tracks that were in fact, hiking trails for non motorized vehicles. In another instance, it showed a 4x4 track that clearly did not exist. The satellite imagery does take a while to download, but this feature alone is worth the price. So...... While the Tread 2 Overland does what we wanted, the errors in the "Adventure Roads and Trails overlay" are enough of a problem to deduct 1 star. Using the downloaded satellite imagery makes remote backcountry navigation unbelievably simple and nearly fool proof. Even with this ease of navigation, if you are venturing out into the wilderness, ALWAYS take along the paper maps and compass just in case the Tread fails.

Awesome unit. Controls need some refinement

Lucas Murph March 9, 2026

I've gotten to use this for about 1000 miles snowmobiling. It does mostly everything I want and more. It does however take some getting used to a the controls are not exactly straight forward to figure out. The manual leaves quite a lot left to the imagination. I would say I know more about using a gps than most. I have had the trail tech gps for about 5 years and have been using marine navigation gps units for 20 years.

I give it a 7 out of 10

ivelys June 2, 2023

I love this watch I had it for 2 years and now the the inside is starting to fade where I can't see the digital like my steps its what I really use it for and the date I can't see that stuff cuz it's fading away maybe it's because I took showers with it on sometimes because it says it's waterproof and I don't like that the band keeps falling off. I took to the jewelry store so they can fix it where the band doesn't come off anymore and I'm using a rubber band to hold the watch together because the little piece to hold the band broke off too that sucks

Beautiful but doesn't keep time...

Jacqueline April 18, 2021

Stopped working properly. The arms wouldn't tell the correct time...I tried to reset and calibrate to 12 oclock but it would correct for a day then happen again...I tried calling garmin, they couldnt help me either and recommended that I return it., so I have had to return it. Such a pretty smart watch , with other good features, but if it wont keep time its useless! Very disappointed, this is my 2nd try...the first one had the same issue....

Shae Senner August 16, 2020

Watch was originally amazing. 2 weeks into wearing my watch, it discolored tremendously and now looks like it has been burned with a yellowing color. I bought the white and rose gold watch
