Second one I bought, one for my 11 yr old daughter and this one for 10 yr old grandson. works well, great value, perfect for home use or doing school work from home. Great for web browsing, youtube, emails, word docs and more. Great bang for the buck.

Ive bought this twice now. Not because the first one died, but because my fiancé kept borrowing mine for work because he loved it so much. So now we have matching laptops. Except mines the pretty purple. Were not doing anything crazy on them, mostly word and power point, but for the price theyre perfect for what we need!

I have never used a laptop before so I didn't know what kind to buy... The price is what caught my eye on this brand. I am very happy with my computer. It's easy to use, easy to ttake with me when I travel, and has a good long battery life. My kids love using it too (I think they can work it better than me!). I would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a good brand for their money and likes things that are easy to setup and use!

This is the third laptop I have bought, I always liked Gateway brands and in purple, it is a very pretty laptop. However, this particular laptop came with a glitch in the windows setup (first time) on the step after it tells you that the pc includes microsoft office, after accepting terms, on the next step the screen stays blue (freezes) on the background and it doesn't continue with the setup to finalize windows. However, I found a way to get around this, and if you have already entered your internet credentials during first time setup, unfortunately you will need to go to the Bios and reset the PC using windows recovery (new clean install). After starting a new windows setup, chose "I don't have internet" option for the basic windows setup in order to avoid or skip the microsoft office glitch setup part.

I always try to leave a good review about a product, even if it's not exactly as I thought it was supposed to be. But I can't do it for this laptop. It doesn't look the same as advertised, Video quality is horrible, and same with the sound. My old HP Chromebook has better video and sound. The space bar only works half of the time, even when typing slow; so, I'm having to constantly stop typing and go back and separate words. When watching a music video, it looks like it's underwater or like a rippling jello affect. The sound is bad. It sounds like an old am radio with one speaker. For the rest of the review, I'll stop going back to correct the spacing,so you can see how often the space bar doesn't work.In the advertisment picture, it appears to bemade with anodized aluminum with the frosted/anodized look; but it's not,it's very cheap plastic. I could've bought a blue anodized aluminum laptop close to the same sizein the store for $18.00 more, or a red anodized laptop with a 16.5" screen for $68.00 more, but I wanted the purple one that was online.(in the picture it appears to be purple anodized aluminum, but the picture is definitely photoshopped to make it look nicer.It says it comes with Windows 10 S,but when I tried downloading an app, I received a popup that said this app is not available for Chrome 9 grunt.I geta similar message on my Chromebook, but it will say Chrome 14 grunt. I neededa laptop with Windows on it,so I could program my quad's Electronic Speed Controller and Flight controller, but I wasn't able to download the programs untilI(this issupposedto say"until I",not untilI) upgraded tothe standard Windows 10, but stillneeded to add some kind of extension to be able to use it. A lot of times when using the touch pad,a window will pop up as if I right clicked,or all the wordson the screen turn blue as ifI was trying to highlight the page, or it will grab something as if I was trying todrag and drop. (see how bad the space bar is?) Another thing,when I'm connected tothe internet, it willdecide todisconnect from the internet, and then I have togo through the process to reconnect, many times throughout myonline session. Sometimes it willsay no service available, even when it's showing full bars.Half ofthe time I'll use my personalhotspot from my iphone sothe laptopwill connect, and then my phone has to be right next to the laptop for itto be able to connect.And when it does connect, it's so slow half of the time; it reminds me of early 90's internet.Maybe I got a bad one out of the bunch, but this laptop is definitely going back! I can go on about more defects, but I'm running out of space. it's almost like it'snot really a Windows laptop.(by the way, in the last sentence;I hit the space bar twice in between the words "it's" and "not" and it still didn't put a space in between). Even though I purchased the laptop online, the Assistant Manager said that I can return it in store; I'm definitely going to upgrade to another laptop.

I'm sooooo disappointed. I thought this computer would be a great computer because of the name, boy was I wrong! It hasn't worked properly since t not the first week of purchase. There has to be a glitch or malfunction within the mouse or touchpad? I literally jump around when you touch it, then it will just randomly NOT respond when I click on something. I've tried contacting Gateway a couple of times to no avail. I've tried looking up my serial number, and when I did find it, their system states that the serial number you've entered is invalid. It has to GO back. Sorry Gateway.

Do not buy. Wifi constantly drops. Non-Microsoft apps are not welcome on this notebook. Not enough memory to do much of anything. It did seem to run outlook reliably but that is about it.

I returned the item the very next day after it arrived. I tried multiple times and the system would not load completely. It would start the windows process and ask questions about wifi and other things then it would go to a blank blue screen and not finish. Turned it off and back on atleast 5 times still did not resolve the issue. Was very unhappy with this product and will not purchase another Gateway item.

I bought this laptop the end of October. I have used it under 20 times. I never used the internet on it. I only used it to use a med program for work. It will not charge. Ive tried different chargers nothing will work. Nothing happened to it to make it stop working. No trauma, falls, nothing. Definitely do not recommend.

it worked great until it literally stopped working for no reason after 2 months the screen wouldn't turn on even though it says the computer is on then Walmart wouldn't take it back because it's been over 30 days now im going to attempt online but I'll have to wait to send it in and wait for my new one and now I'll be behind on work
