On sale for $279.00 with 8 gb ram and 512 gb solid state hd. Solid I5 chip. Not a gaming laptop, but perfect for casual use. Very solid build, very quiet and reasonable battery life. Whats not to like!

I purchased this after 7 or so years with a Lenovo that is still working, but I am really impressed. I did the research on the I5 processor, and the extra SSD space is really good. This is a 10-core machine, which is pretty impressive with a turbo speed that exceeds 4. I also like the touch screen and the ergonomics of it. Gateway (an Asus company) did an interesting thing when you open this laptop... it actually tilts the keyboard to a position that is very comfortable for typing. All-in-all, at this price point, it's tough to beat. I hope it proves to be a long-running machine for me!

I am a graduate student and depend on my laptop. This is the BEST LAPTOP EVER!!! Lots of memory, fast, dependable, and awesome. I got a great deal on my laptop, but it ranks up there with $700-$800 laptop easily. It is my second Gateway, I also have a 11.5 inch convertible. They both run Windows 11 and are compatible with each other and every device I have tried to connect to with the exception of my moto g cell phone. I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone.

Truly impressive little laptop with FHD touch screen, Ultra-Slim black body and keypad and keys. It comes with Windows 11 which functions perfectly but does NOT allow me to transfer pictures from my Olympus XP 130 Camera. It has a battery life of 10 hours and clean 14.1" screen .. perfect for use on my lap when I am sitting up on my bed and watching television. The sound is crisp and clear when using earphones and I can use a fingerprint scanner to quickly get on and resume work if I need to...just grand ! ONLY drawback ? Is the Skimpy 512 GB storage and no DVD player. But it does have a HDMI Port and 3 USB ports and one smaller port for a smaller external device or data transfer. All in All... I recommend this laptop IF you want a high-quality laptop for convenient use and lightweight carrying. Perfect for women with diminished wrist strength who do not want to lunk around a heavier unit.

Nothing to dislike about this computer works fast and no issues! Works great for my 9 yr old daughter with her own profile with parental settings! If you're thinking about it just get it! Gateway is an old brand but great quality and sound is great too! Louder than our old HP.

Great laptop for the price of 489.99 when I got it. Only downside is the 8gb of soldered ram. There is room to solder more ram should you know what you are doing. Plays games better than I thought, steady 60fps on low/medium on CS:GO and World of Warcraft. The screen is beautiful, I am very pleased with the colors. Main reason I picked this up was for the 12th gen i5 ultra low power cpu. Beefy and not an energy hog. The ram has kind of a high pitch whirl when running at higher speeds which can be annoying if it’s running for long periods of time. Could just be the one I got.

Still using the product … it's a little smaller than I was thinking it would be … the finger print scanner works half the time… the computer itself was very easy to set up … synched well with my 365 account and so far there have been no hardware or software issues. The touch screen is nice … I regret not find a computer with a backlit keyboard … other than that … as me in a few months.

Overall I love it. Button clicks could be smoother. When using the touchpad, watch out for smudges and finger prints on your screen because it interferes with the cursor. Turning off the monitor and wiping it with a microfiber cloth usually helps. I now use a wireless mouse and it's eliminated the problem. I also wish there was a case of some sort made especially for protecting it. Great computer for the price.

Honestly, I’m disappointed in this product. The Max duration of the battery is 4 hours while in the description of the product it says that the battery might last up to 10 hours. Plus, the touchpad stops working one week after I received the laptop. I sent many emails to Gateway customers help center about the issue, but no answer so far.

I have had lots of problems with my computer since I got it. The touchpad is beyond touchy. I will be scrolling like I did on my old computer and all of a sudden I have selected something and am switched to a new page. The biggest problem I have had with the computer is way more frustrating than that. When I close the computer and come back to it later, I will often find MANY new screens open, new files created, the powershell is open...it is more than bizarre. Contacting customer support is next to impossible and when I finally did convince them there was a problem, the solution was for me to pay to mail it to them and they would attempt to fix it. That hardly seems like an acceptable solution to a computer that has not worked right from the beginning. I am very disappointed in this purchase. (The screen shot is of a bunch of new files that were all created one time when the computer was "closed". )
