Black Friday for $450, a fantastic price. I am knowable on computers and researched many laptops. I decided to take a chance on this Gateway laptop due to the LOW price. Found several other brand names with similar features, but all were $150 to 200 more expensive. Manufactured by an unknown company with a Gateway brand name. Gateway is now owned by Acer. Great intel i5-1135G7 chip. The screen has great color, lots of brightness, and all pixels are good. Hard drive and memory were tested and are good and fast. Read review complaints about the keyboard and touchpad, but I find both are very good except the key spacing is slightly further apart than I am used to. My complaints are the battery is not accessible; due to the laptop's thin design the ports/adapters are difficult to access without lifting the laptop; the battery life may be overstated, but not bad.

Very happy with the 11th Gen i5, 16Gb ram, and Iris XE graphics for light gaming. Some additional info on the SSD the model is a W800SH 512GB SSD 512.1 which is an SATA III drive around 550MB/s. It is still incredibly fast so I am happy but that is where your cost savings come from on this. The micro SD card reader is around USB 2.0 transfer rates of 28MB/s for this specific laptop and so it isn't a suitable way to upgrade storage for any apps or programs. Those were the only 2 "surprises" with this system. The graphics and CPU are setup properly and this is a great system and great deal. There is an additional slot for a hard drive upgrade later. Good stuff.

Very basic computer, but powerful and well worth the money. This computer lacks a touch screen and a lighted keyboard, but wow, does it have everything I need for our home office. Plenty of speed, memory, and hard drive.

Package was well packed and organized. The laptop was very easy to setup and the speed is fast. I can run several spreadsheets applications at the same time and the speed is still very fast.

I am a true Gateway fan. The device runs well and I love to color choices. The storage and processor is great for the price. However, I am having trouble with the mouse track pad. It doesnt consistently register my fingers for scrolling. This is a problem i have nit had with any other laptop.

I've had the screen on two of these fall out. The pricing for the parts is great, but that's an issue. Also, there's no FN lock. So you must use the keys with their alternate function. You can't use them as F1-F12 without holding down the FN key.

Great little laptop, for a while. Cheap, thin little tiny, skinny charging jack that soon became loose until it would not charge. Tried 3 different generic replacement chargers that would not fit well and were loose. Walmart couldn't help and Gateway support

i should have listened to the handfull of reviews about screens falling off! have not even had this thing 1 year and ive already had to contact warranty to get a replacement charger because that stopped working. Now the screen is falling off and and doesnt work. BTW i babied this thing due to the reviews i saw about the screen. so it literally is just crap. Used it last night and woke up to use it this morning and its screwed. also the battery doesnt hold a charge but for only about 30 to 40 minutes and will randomly just die without warning you. Dont buy.

The laptop is a little low on performance which was surprising given the higher RAM and SSD. Major problems include 1. USB stick does not work. I can get it to work if I plug in an external drive in one socket. But requires multiple reboots and some luck. 2. No help from Gateway at all (did not respond to emails)

It constantly has had issues. Purchased late Nov. 2021. On 3/5/22 the touchpad has gone bonkers. Took it to geek squad for a diagnostic review. They said it was a hardware problem. Hopefully the one year warranty can give me a refund. Piece of junk, I do not want another one
