We were hesitant to purchase a non-traditional tension rod screen house but the G5 was perfect for our needs! We're empty nesters and love fall camping and this gazebo was the perfect size for the two of us. It kept us dry and warm during our October camping trip. Super easy to set up and one person can do it although a second person makes it much easier. My only suggestion is to install small loops on the inside of the gazebo so small lights can be strung up to provide some light as it gets dark inside with the panels on and add a little ambiance. The carry bag is plenty big and the zippers are beefy. No complaints with this gazebo and we look forward to using it for years to come!
Highly recommended.Easy set up and take down.Ordered floor also.Came with 3 side panels which are also easy to attach and gives you great protection from rain or just for privacy
Am just under 5' and had a hard time unpacking this and getting it set up - was crazy heavy and was packed so tight in cardboard box! Finally got it out and unwrapped and set on the deck to set it up - had to crawl inside and push out the walls from inside - was quite hard to do - impossible to pull open from outside as the whole thing would move - might have helped if someone else was there to hold it... couldn't pop up ceiling at all - had to secure the thing to the ground (since on a deck I used heavy deck chairs to hold down the stake tabs) - is roomy inside - think the pentagon shape allows for more room - but wish the thing was smaller and lighter - will not be easy to transport for camping trips due to its weight and how big it is when in its bag - also when packing it down, the detached strap that wraps around it has velcro on it and it grabbed some of the screen and ruined it!! - that wrap strap should not be velcro - should be a buckle thing - very poor design for that. Also, wish the door was magnet close instead of zipper - a bother for entering and exiting. Also wish the panels had screen or clear vinyl windows and came in options of 2 to a package - you end up with 6 panels for a 5 sided tent with the only available 3/pkge offering. Is a decent tent if you don't intend to lug it with you on camping trips (unless you have considerable space for it) which is unfortunate for us as we have a Sprinter van camper. This tent would have been ideal for us if smaller and lighter (could easily sacrifice height and footprint some for sure). We will try packing this into our van... not sure how or where it will fit yet... but we do like the concept - the tent seems pretty well made and the price point wasn't bad - will keep it and give it to Dad to set up on his lawn so he can enjoy being outside and not be bothered with the bugs when we find a better tent for our purposes. Maybe Gazelle will come out with something smaller and lighter??
