Love this chair. I only wish this model still came with an ottoman that fit in the bag.
A light weight chair that is comfortable and well built. The big box stores can't compete with the value of this chair.
Love this chair. Very heavy duty. I had two previous chairs that were five years old with issues that GCI covered under warranty with no hassles. I can’t say they stand behind their products with their limited lifetime warranty. I get tons of compliments on these chairs would highly recommend!
This chair is great but when they say Extra Large they mean Extra Large. I'm only 5' 8” and my feet barely touch the ground. Only Boomers will get this reference but my wife, at 5' looks a little like Edith Ann (Lillie Tomlin) in her giant chair. However my best friend, at 6' 3”, loves this chair. He calls dibs whenever we have a cookout. Like all GCI chairs this one is solid, sturdy and built to last. It folds easily and packs away in its provided travel bags. I am very happy with this purchase.
high quality chair but heavy and it could use a carrying strap so it could be carried without having to put it in the bag a little hard to get in and out of due to its lower laid back design but that does make it very comfortable. its a great product.
Being up in age now it is hard to get out of the common portable chairs. They are too low to the ground and do not provide any stability to push up from. While rather large I can finally take this chair to outdoor functions and not be embarrassed about not being able to get out of the chair when I want to with ease or help. It's the height of the legs of this chair and the hard arm rests and tight seat that make a graceful exit possible. If the manufacturers could make one just for baby boomers that is a little smaller and a tad lighter but maintains the leg height and hard armrests and seat it would be perfect.
The chair itself was comfortable. However, the bag was a real frustration. Why not make the bag a little bigger? A person has to be a magician to get the chair back into the bag without a whole lot of frustration. Also, a customer should NOT have to buy a bigger bag!!
I absolutely love how tall this chair is. The back is high and great for people with long torsos. My problem with this chair (I have 2) is the fact that after not even a year of gentle use, I cannot open the chairs without feeling like I am going to break them. The sliding parts get caught on the frame and without the use of wd40, you cannot open them. Really makes me want to get new chairs, which is sad because I love them so much!
Chair is very nice, I'm a big guy but the chair was so high that my feet wouldn't touch the ground. I'm 6'1" . I'm returning it for that reason
I've have owned two of the EZ Chair XL and both have had issues with opening and closing. The first chair broken when I tried to open it as the chair was stuck shut. I owned that chair for less a year. The second chair will not open after one weekend of travel ball. I'll have to carry a can of WD-40 to spray the chair rails before each use, so that chair will open and close. GCI really needs to figure out a different design for these chairs based on customer experience with the open/closure issues.
