GE 0.7 Cu. Ft. 700-watt Countertop Microwave Oven, Black

This little gem replaces our GEmicrowave that we have had for about 15 - 20 years. It's the same capacity but physically smaller. The style is very nice and it takes up a lot less room. We used it our first time this morning and we were very pleased. The controls are very similar to our previous microwave and it's very easy to use.Hope it lasts like our previous one.

Love the capacity, convenience, design and size. Size is very important for our small space allocation. Although relatively new, seems to be very durable. We would prefer a higher wattage however we understand that we are limited due to our space availability. So far, love the micro and find it much better than our previous Black and Decker micro that only lasted 2 years.

I previously owned two GE Space saver microwaves similar to this one. I choose to get the countertop version to avoid the cost of the space saver. This microwave is small, but fits nicely in a corner. The controls are the same as the space saver which is what sold me. The microwave is only 700 watts, but is all that I need. I love the fast minute buttons that keep you from punching in a specific time. The space is adequate and holds a large dinner place. Although some reviews mentioned this microwave was noisy, I didn't find it any noisier than my space saver which was attached to the cabinet. The sound carries a little more because it's on the counter. I've only used it for a week, but so far it has been a great replacement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great microwave if you're tight on countertop space. It has all needed functions and the best is: you can set it so it doesn't beep each time you push a button. Normal size dinner plate – but if you have a plate that is huge, it may not totally fit. Nice that it does not have a protruding handle and the power settings work wonderfully when you want to eat something at a lower temperature. GE thought of everything for this little unit.

Unfortunately, GE doesn't make the size that we had. We downsized to make it work in the space. Everything we use a microwave for still fits in this smaller microwave. I am extremely happy with this microwaves performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had purchased another manufacturer's model (same size and capacity) and found it lacking in features, power and interior height. We returned it and decided on this model even though it was a bit more expensive. It performs well, is easy to use, has great safety features and the controls are easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only used the microwave for two weeks but so far pretty good. I'm not thrilled with the button on the bottom to open the door as you must use your right hand thumb. You cannot use your left hand because of the design. The number are a little hard to read. definitely need a bright light on. This is a 700w model which is what I am used to. The microwave is a little smaller than my last one. A full size dinner plate barely fits in it.

Perfect size for our new appliance garage. We had a GE profile microwave before and it's nice to have the same button layout and functions. The only downside is the wrapping on the buttons has started to peel and it's only been a couple weeks of usage. Not sure if it's supposed to come off completely?

Design and controls need improvement made. The rotation wheel is too flimsy, coming off easily. The rubber or whatever material used on the inside door has a bad odor, smell like bleach. I wiped it clean with warm water several times. The odor is still there.
