Great little unit, very powerful for its size. We installed it on a very hot day, and when we turned it on, it only took two hours to cool down the space to an acceptable level. Strongly recommend! Good bargain, $100 less than most other 12K BTU units.
Love this ac unit its gets ice cold. I read all the other reviews before purchasing it and i was scard to but it was a 100 degree out and my other one stoped working on. i was very easy to put together and i did it by myself and even put it in the window i did half to tilt it outside about a inch so the water would drain and it dose very well i did get the 3year warranty it cools down my living room i can't even believe it 99 out side this works so good im glad i bought it despite what some of the reviewers sead. i have the FedEx app so it was very easy to track and the FedEx man brought it right to my door now thats service i love it and i would highly recommend this to anyone!
Good quiet AC, and very powerful for its price. I like that I am able to connect to my WIFI, and use the mobile app to turn on the AC on my way home and not deal with a hot stuffy apt, when I walk in. very happy with the product.
It does cool the room size it states it will cool, but not much else. I haven't messed with the wifi. And the remote does work, I just don't tend to use it. I do like that it has an economy mode, turn that on and the fan to auto, and it cools pretty well without just running the whole time. It will even run the fan lower at times. I haven't gotten a utility bill yet, but it seems like it doesnt have to run all the time to keep my big living room nice and cold and a small bathroom off to the side somewhat cool. It also has a sleep mode that I haven't messed with either. I bought a small 5000 btu unit a few years back just because I like it cold when I sleep and I have central air. Well my central air went out so instead of opting for a bigger 220v unit, I went with this guy. Honestly, I wish I would have purchased this one I stead of the little one years ago. I think had I done that, two of these units would have kept my house pretty cool and it's around 800 sq ft. I will say if you are trying to cool a whole home, it would probably be more efficient to go with a bigger unit even if you have to have it wired up. But if you just have a big room by a kitchen that always seems warm, ior if y just want to cool a medium to large room, this unit will do the trick, even in eco mode. If you drop the temp and just set it to cool.and the fan on high it will have you wanting a blanket.
We ordered the a.c. on line, it arrived with a crushed top right above the control panel, and dented up cover. However, to return it, come to find out, the qr code for Fedex for the return cant be used by any local Fedex shipping stores (we live in a rural area, they said the closest place authorized to print the labels was Conroe, Texas. That is a 2 1/2 hr drive). We went to the local Walmart, they couldnt help us and said they werent authorized to talk to corporate, that was on me for ordering online. Thank God the a.c. works, at least for now. I will never buy another big item from Walmart online from now on, if you don't live in a major metro area, you are on your own.
Im not sure if my AC is defected but i upgraded from a 10,000 btu to 12,000 and this is less efficient than my 9 year old AC. It doesnt lower past 64 and blows cool air ... not cold ... its almost musty. Even with the door closed my bedroom does not get frigid cold. Dissapointed.
Cool the room. Only downside is the e8 code appears every now and then which stops the unit from blowing cold air. To have the AC blow cool air you will just press the second reset button on the plug in or just unplug snf re plug that works also. Overall Cheap ac unit for few months to stay cool and your able to set up wifi control through your smart phone.
AC came in broken. My mail man delivered it from the back of his mail truck and left it on my driveway. I got someone to come and install it. He took the old one out and the new one is BROKEN. Displays says ERROR. Now, I have a hole in my house. Walmart.com wants me to take the AC unit (that I cannot lift because I'm a small lady) back to a Fedex store. I do not have a Fedex store near me so I went to Walgreens who accepts Fedex, they wont take it because its too big (meanwhile I had to get a friend to come and load it in my car and unloaded with a dolly) Then I found Parcel Express that accepts Fedex drops off, I got another friend to take me there, take the AC from my car and take it inside the store, guess what? they won't take the QR code that Walmart sent me to EASILY RETURN THE UNIT. This is a nightmare. DO NOT ORDER APPLIANCES FROM WALMART.COM or you will live this nightmare if it comes broken.
The unit worked well for the first two summers. It started throwing error messages (E8) and blowing but not cooling sporadically last summer. It's now to the point that it kicks out every 15 minutes in hot weather and has to be unplugged and pugged back up to begin cooling again, which is highly inconvenient when you're trying to sleep in the room and it stops blowing cold air and the room turns into a furnace. The unit didn't make it four years. Currently searching for a replacement.
The AC cools good, however this was someone's return, the bracket was already installed on it, the REMOTE was missing and the control panel very loose I have to use my AP to turn off and on, I spent $400 and expecting a new one, I already paid my friend to install it, the case outside was all bent up, so I cant really afford to return it! It does cool other than the issues its good product.
