GE 2-Device Big Button Universal TV Remote Control in Silver, 69882

Needed a remote for my tv quickly. I did not want some thing overly complicated with too many buttons. This is simple. It had easy instructions and it works.

Selected for its simplicity with only the buttons you need to operate the basic TV functions. Using it with an older-model Philips TV. Very simple to program, and it worked perfectly with the first possible program option tried.

One of her children bought her a 55" Smart TV. That's a great thing since her eyesight is failing. However there's a drawback. She's 78 years old and showing signs of dementia and therein lies the problem. The remote control that came with the flat screen has far too many buttons which makes simple things confusing. The remote I purchase is almost perfect. It has far fewer buttons. I'm hoping it will do the trick. If I can get her to stop pressing the Cable input button it will be smooth sailing. I have some ideas about how to solve that issue though. I think it might just be the best purchase I've made all year. Thanks Walmart!

Great simple remote, not overly complicated %26 works well for just needing a simple tv %26 cable box remote. I've bought 3 of them so far , it's also perfect for senior citizens who get overwhelmed with lots of buttons that can be on other universal remotes

This is a great basic remote for everyone especially the elderly. I got this for my 74 year old Dad during his stay at the hospital. The only reason I'm docking a star is due to the fact that we were unable to control the close captioning feature with the remote. It was definitely disappointing since my Dad is hard of hearing. Other than that, set up was easy and the big buttons made it easy to handle.

The dimensions shown on the ad were totally incorrect. It shows the item as 10.20 x 1.25 x 4.45. That is the dimensions of the box it comes in. The actual size of the remote is 6x2. I was hoping for a larger remote, but this one is way smaller than what I wanted.

I have an older LG plasma tv and figured I'd either have to go through a dozen codes until I got to the right one, or I'd have to purchase a more expensive remote with the codes preprogrammed. To my surprise the very first code I entered for my tv worked like a charm. I only gave 4 stars because the input button is a pain to navigate because there's no way to go up or down to the right source. I can live with that for $8.99!

Simple setup but cable/ streaming setup hasn't been successful. I can't use remote to switch to streaming channels from local ( air/antenna) channels . Can't preview a show description either. Size %26 shape are not secure in your hand, feels like you'll drop it when operating remote with one hand.

She is BASIC. This remote does not have the buttons required to do a channel scan. Which is why i purchased it in the first place. Guess i should have done more research. If you want something to power on/off and control the volume of your device ONLY, then this is the one for you.

it is universal and it will connect it does not work with Smart TVs there is no way to go from side to side or really up and down. it's great to turn the TV on and off though.
