Selected for its simplicity with only the buttons you need to operate the basic TV functions. Using it with an older-model Philips TV. Very simple to program, and it worked perfectly with the first possible program option tried.
What a joy this small remote is! I purchased this remote to replace a 8-input, universal remote after getting rid of some gear. Wanted something easy to use, see and find (on dark sofa) to control the power for the TV and volume/power for my soundbar system. First off, I can easily find it with it's faux brushed stainless steel finish and glow-in-dark up/down volume %26 channel controls. You can program the 2-input buttons to any compatible device easily with the code guide pamphlet provided. I set my TV to the "TV-input" and my sound bar system to the "CBL-input" using the sound bar code provided. My sound bar system uses the older infrared signal (not the newer bluetooth) which causes some issues with controlling it with the TV remote. This little remote has allowed me to put away both the big TV remote and the Gigantic Soundbar remote. It's cleaned up so much visual and mind clutter. The up/down buttons are so easy to see and big. No accidentally pressing 3 other buttons to change the volume. All the buttons are nicely spaced out and easy to read. The back-side of the remote is curved to ergonomically fit your hand, not flat like the new monolith-style remotes. Plus, the price was very right.
I have 2 of these. They work great. Just keep in mind, the front is not brushed metal. It's painted plastic. Still, well worth the money and easy to use.
Needed a remote for my tv quickly. I did not want some thing overly complicated with too many buttons. This is simple. It had easy instructions and it works.
Great remote. Easy to program. Served their purpose, my mom has dementia and would misplace remotes all the time. These were good, simple replacements. Not a lot of buttons to confuse her. Good inexpensive replacement.
The dimensions shown on the ad were totally incorrect. It shows the item as 10.20 x 1.25 x 4.45. That is the dimensions of the box it comes in. The actual size of the remote is 6x2. I was hoping for a larger remote, but this one is way smaller than what I wanted.
Simple setup but cable/ streaming setup hasn't been successful. I can't use remote to switch to streaming channels from local ( air/antenna) channels . Can't preview a show description either. Size %26 shape are not secure in your hand, feels like you'll drop it when operating remote with one hand.
Big buttons and silver background are helpful (I'm legally blind), However, the buttons (especially the up/down/left/right) are stiff and sometimes jump two spaces instead of one. Perhaps over time they'll break in and be easier to use.
hard time programming for my Emerson TV if still not working 100% so I reordered a new antenna to see cuz I kept saying no signal so I'm assuming it may be the antenna but we'll see
the remote changes channels adjust volume on off has a sleep timer has no menu I can't bring up the menu and operate all the functions in my TV I did order one it was supposed to be here in 3 days it's coming several more days now it's already been about a week no big deal
