[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with this dishwasher. We have an open-concept living/kitchen area, so a quiet machine is key, and this one is quiet. It has a large capacity, though we do rinse before loading, and I like the silverware divider. The normal cycle takes about 2 hours and 10 minutes, and the dishes come out pretty dry (only wet where you'd expect them to be).
The gentleman that put in my dishwasher were extremely thorough and made sure that it was set up, absolute perfect and balanced, and they worked on it for a while and got it all done. Then they ran it through a cycle and everything looks wonderful. I don't have any dirty dishes yet to put in it, but I think I am going to love it. I love the size of it in the inside. It's very big extremely roomy. My last dishwasher was also a GE that I had for over 20 years and I was very very happy with it.
First off, I haven't had a dishwasher for 22 years so I am very happy with this one. It's not noisy at all and its capacity is great. It was really easy to install. You do have to buy the power cord though unless you plan on hard-wiring it. I've only had it less than a week but I couldn't be happier.
So far the new GE dishwasher is working very well. Although we're getting used to the options, they're very easy to figure out for what we need to accomplish to get the dishes clean. There's plenty of room for everything that we have for two people. Very good for the price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new dishwasher. Washes and dries well and the capacity is perfect. The only thing I don't like is where the silverware basket is. Would be so much more convenient if it was in front of the shelf instead of on the side.
All in all the dishwasher is fine even though I liked my 20 year old GE dishwasher better! The dishwasher is quiet. The first couple times of using it, I had to go and check that it was even running! It cleans everything well. No issues. But just like with my old dishwasher, I'm a person that rinses off everything before placing them in the dishwasher! I also hand wash pots, pans, and anything plastic so I don't know how well the dishwasher does cleaning those items. I did the same thing using my previous dishwasher. I am a bit disappointed with the drying aspect. My previous GE dishwasher had heating drying and this one has boosted high which is definitely not as good as heated. The racks are set up perfectly for all my plates and bowls. The top rack is great as the sections are wide so it fits a lot of glasses and coffee mugs without a problem. Compared to my previous dishwasher, the inside shell seems to be made with cheaper material and every time you open the dishwasher the smell that comes out is terrible! It is not from left on food as I stated earlier, all my dirty dishes are rinsed prior to loading. It's embarrassing when you have guests over and you're cleaning up. That's how bad the smell is!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is so quiet that I actually had to go check to make sure it was running the first time we used it. Even with the dry boost the dishes sometimes come out still damp. The capacity is okay. Other than the hour cycle it takes a long time to run. Hopefully it uses less energy than our old one. The installers were nice and professional.
Had less than a year, calling for service. At least 3 times now it has “started” the wash cycle and countdown without actually running. The detergent dispenser opens and that's it. After 1.2 hours it sings that it is clean, but alas, everything is in the exact same state as when I started the cycle.
I would give this dishwasher 0 stars if it let me. Started having issues within the first 12 months. Has been nothing but problems since. Numerous code errors, very loud (when it actually works) and never did a great job of drying even with the dry boost. Do no buy this dishwasher
Takes over 3 hrs to allegedly clean and half the time my dishes are still dirty. Dishwashee is not overpacked. Wash cycle many times there is no water, coming through which is strange to me. Also, dishwasher has an stale odor that transfers to the dishes. Very disappointed in this product. This product is less than a yr old. My previous16 yr old dishwasher worked way better than this plastic piece of garbage. Will never by GE dishwasher again.
