Used for years and still using
No idea what the people below are talking about it is easy to set. The Circle in the middle is what you set the time now as and the little buttons are pushed either up or down depending on if you want the timer on and off. Great product been using for years.

Harder to set than most.....
It took me a solid week to figure out how to set it from day to night. At first, the light was coming on during the day so I tried reversing the procedure only to find out "clicks" are light, up position is dark. Finally got it. Not returning only cuz it's a $7 item and I think I have it now (set up). For a dollar more, get the 2 outlet model, it's worth it. But more worth it, spend a bit more and get a good one. If you are leaving on vacation tomorrow, this is NOT the timer for you. Get it early, get to know it and then ONLY THEN, does it become an ok timer.

Having trouble with the settings.
The instructions were no help in setting the timer. So far nothing is working, including the over ride feature. Not happy !!
