I previously had a review for the 18 inch dishwasher and thankfully I was able to return it. My review was made in haste as I had a full size portable for the last 20 years so the old one was a lot easier to work (just turned a knob). After I got used to the electronic panel and now that I have the full size, I couldn't be more happier with my purchase now. This is the most quiet appliance in my house and does an excellent job at cleaning the dishes!
Had updated my older larger dishwasher. Was nervous because I was used to the large size. There is only 2 of us in our household, so really not much of an issue. She cleans well, very quiet. My only downside is the cord to plug it is it pretty short. It luckily just makes it to my outlet. But it definitely should be longer for a portable dishwasher.
The dishwasher works great. a couple of things could be changed or tweeked. The utensil basket could have a better handle on it as mine has come apart when I pick it up to take it out of the dishwasher and the fill hose doesn't fit into the back of the dishwaser when you're done so it sort of just flops around on the back. Overall, not a bad dishwasher.
The specs for unit states that the hose stretches out 35 inches but it's actually 28 inches and does not reach my sink. It also does not set back in place. It also would be nice if you could see the timer, it's on the inside of the door with the control panel.
We're trying to get used to using our new portable GE dishwasher, but it loads differently than we're used to (not really a problem) and we can't tell when it's finished because the Clean light is hidden when the door is closed. The dishes do come out really clean!
The unicoupler started getting loose about 6 months in, now it won't hold to the faucet at all and the whole thing will need to be warrantied. To have the thing held with cheap plastic when it could have been metal lock on the adapter is just being cheap.
I ordered this online. I was so excited! Unfortunately it came damaged. Right side was dented which made the door unable to close and stay shut. All over the bottom outside was rust damage as it was very wet when unpacking. Otherwise it was beautiful. Just waiting to be plugged in. Ho hummm... Had to be returned. Sad day as now I mush WASH by hand all those dishes I wanted my dishwasher to wash... ugh!
bad dishwasher. the way the silverware basket is designed is horrible. you lift it, the handle comes up, then if you tilt it at all, the handle will come out completely and your basket will fall. i had to zip tie the handle in place so this would stop. next is the hose. it seems like an afterthought. like others point out, it doesnt get put away properly. it always hangs out. im going to need to 3d print some type of closure mechanism to stop this. Finally, and im not sure if this is a design flaw or i just got a bad one, but the lower sliding tray always comes off the rails. There is these two pieces in the back that are bent down on purpose to act like a stopper when you pull the tray out, and on mine only the right side is actually long enough to make contact with the door and stop the thing from coming out. this is a huge problem when the other side doesnt stop, it then throws the thing out of alignment, and when you try to push the tray back in it doesnt want to go, so you need to lift and manually align everytime. it washes dishes OK, but nothing crazy. i have to use the HEAVY load setting to make sure they get done well. there is no dryer. not really impressed with this.
Worst dishwasher ever! It leaks out of the bottom, not a lot of room, does not dry dishes, not organized well for being so small which makes it difficult to get all the dishes done at one time. I have this installed in my daycare and it does not keep up. Some days I have to do 3 to 4 loads of dishes for just breakfast and lunch, then I have to set them out on the counter to dry. I have a family daycare so I am only feeding between 5-7 children at a time. I spend all day doing dishes. I wish I never would have purchased it and i have only used it for 4 weeks.
I've never encountered a product that seems to have less thought put into it than this dishwasher. The countdown timer that is completely worthless when the dishwasher is running because it cannot be seen since it's on the top edge of the door rather than the front was a glaring tell. The fact is this machine has never really gotten the dishes decently clean unless we've washed them first. This was the first and last appliance I'll ever order online. Live and learn.
