[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We looked at a lot of dryers and we liked this one the best. It has good features and we think it holds more than our previous Bosch unit eventhough they are the same capacity. It is very quiet and dries the clothes really well. We thought there are more cycles than we need, but use them all. We also really like the damp feature and the clothes are perfectly damp when the buzzer goes off. When we got it, we tried various settings with all sorts of items, including sneakers and every time they came out perfect. We were skeptical about the sensor and its ability to adjust drying properly, but it works great with no issues of clothes being too dry. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.
My home has limited clearance down to the basement where regular sized washers and dryers physically could not be brought down by professionals. I was forced to search for the compact washer and dryer options, and found a great deal with this unit. So far I have had no issues and everything is drying well in one cycle. Energy consumption seems to be as expected, which for being compact means I need the right level of performance. The only issue I have observed so far is the noise, but this is due to the stacking on top of the washer, and a particular resonance which was dampened by 90% simply by storing my inflatable mattress on top. Would recommend!
Coming from using a condenser dryer for the past 6 years this has been incredible. It dries the first time and seems to do it in a little over an hour. I'm considering purchasing the connect module to get notified when it finishes drying but it's been so reliable I may only need a timer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer works great. We are very happy with it. It has some awesome features. and numerous cycles to pick from. It is also quiet. The best is drying sneakers with the drying rack. So nice to get my sneakers dry after using the matching washer. It also has a damp setting, so that you can pull out some items before they are fully dry. Capacity is better than we expected. We can dry a full set of king sheets without issue. The only feature i don't care for is the eDry setting. Supposedly it saves energy, all it does is leave my clothes wet. So, I just avoid that setting.
FIRST DRYER DIDN'T HEAT SO THEY REPLACED IT WITH A NEW ONE WITHIN A WEEK. IT DRIES NOW BUT SOMETIMES WE ADD TIME IF TOWELS, FOR EXAMPLE, ARE STILL DAMP. NICE FEATURE IS INTERIOR LIGHT. WE ALREADY HAD THE MATCHING GE WASHER AND THEY ARE NOW INSTALLED IN A STACK IN OUR TINY UTILITY ROOM.
So far, the machine is working beautifully. We live in a small cottage, so the capacity is fine for our being a retired couple and don't use a lot of clothes. They were able to fit it in our little bathroom closet! I didn't notice a lot of noise, so that's a good sign. We probably won't need to use all the features, but it suits our needs perfectly! We are happy with this product.
Nice dryer wished tho made a gas one this size, I have an old Pittsburgh . size is a issue for me. As far as usage time I might have to dry things an extra 15mins or so. All digital I really use my timed one and choose my heat, all in all not bad. I have always bought GE products
Just had it 3 days but so far so good. Drying time increased only 10 minutes versus my old Whirlpool dryer. I don't love the lint filter as it's difficult to open up and remove lint for my senior hands, but it's workable and I'm sure I'll get used to it. I like the idea of the extra tray to hold delicates. That's easy to remove and install. Good idea. Don't know if there is any extra energy cost as the addition of 10 minutes to drying is not substantial. I primarily use time drying where I set the time.
This dryer is pretty useless. You can't dry sheets in it. Or anything but small items. The dryer spins them into knots. I've tried separating the sheets every 15 minutes (which is a pain). Sheets still don't get dry. Clothes in general take forever to dry. Waste of electricity.
Normally we like GE appliances but this dryer has been really disappointing. Sometimes it has heat, sometimes it doesn't, even on the same settings. Overall, it's pretty noisy and sometimes makes a high pitched squealing sound. Drying queen sized sheets is a pain. It takes all day and they constantly get rolled into a burrito, requiring constant attention to get them unrolled. I wish we had chosen a completely different option. Don't buy this dryer.
