GE 4.5 cu ft Capacity Top Load Washing Machine with Cold Plus and Wash Bost

I just received my washer today and started using it right away. It is so much nicer than my other washer. I love being able to control water height, it has knobs instead push button. love the fabric softener being in the agitator. So far this is a great washer . before this one I had a washer with no agitator, NEVER AGAIN! They are the worst and was always going off balance and more. It was 5 years old and was going to cost 300.Glad tobe done with it. But this washer has already outdone my old one.

Very large internal capacity. Just enough features for what you need without bloated bells and whistles. Nice water volume control. It has no braking mechanism, it just keeps the lid locked until spinning stops, which can take a while since it has such a high spin rate. Great value.

We got this make and model because of a previous washer. A good move. This new washer is great. Runs very smooth, easy to use and the controls seem both efficient and easy to use. Love that musical note when the load is completed, too! A nice touch. All in all a great device.

Love the Stainless Steel Basket, Capacity is adequate. New washer was delivered 3 weeks ago so still learning how to use the new features and setting. I've printed the user's manual and hope to learn more about the features as we begin to use it more. One feature that is a bit troubling is that the top locks during wash cycle and that everything resets to the beginning when you open the top. We just purchased the machine 3 weeks ago and we're still learning about all of the features. The clothes come out clean and there are a number of different settings you can use for specific types of clothing. The machine should operate more efficiently if the settings are used correctly. We have rated the machine a 5 based upon our first 3 weeks of experience. Time will tell.

This does not come with hoses for hot and cold water.

This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. It tears up clothing and is very loud. I recently washed two small outdoor pillows and it shredded them. I have never Experienced anything like this with any washing machine I have owned. I will not be purchasing another GE appliance.

Does not fill up water properly when having at max water level. I truly hate these new he wash machines. They do not clean the clothes like the old ones used to. And there is no saving water, my loads are getting smaller and smaller and I often wash them 2 times. What a waste of additional resources.

If there was a rating less than one star I would give it to this machine. It is loud, goes off balance with a simple blanket and the pump sound like a garbage disposal. I keep getting correspondence from GE about extending the warranty. When this washing machine breaks, I am going to push it out to the curb for the trash man and buy another brand.

I'm 63 years old and this is the worst washing machine I've ever owned. It's so sad that our engineers have not improved on a basic washing machine over the years. They've only made them more complicated, more expensive and more unreliable.
