This unit works great. I have installed 4 of them to delay complete replacement of central air system. I could replace all of them every year for more than 13 years and still be money ahead. I have had one for several years and am just now replacing it due to some mold on the interior styrofoam. They are reasonably quiet and can quickly cool a large bedroom.
This air conditioner went to a friend in Oregon. As you may know, the West coast states have been suffering through terribly hot weather. My friend lives in a 1910 house with only one old window unit. I sent this one to her to help keep her cool. She is loving it!
works very well. I live in southern Illinois she's it's in the high 90s most of the summer. I use 2 of them to cool my livingroom, diningroom, 2 offices and kitchen. it says small room a.c. but it works really well for 2 large rooms or 3 medium sized rooms.
I was looking for something inexpensive to cool off my living room / kitchen area (open floor plan), but low profile, and something I wouldn't need to install brackets for. This totally foot the bill and cools the room(s) off nicely. There are several settings so that you can get the amount of cold that you want. High cool is icy! I hesitated because it got 4 stars on the reviews but I give it 5.
This is a nice little window unit I placed in my shop. Unfortunately, it sustained damage during shipping. A corner of the box had torn and had been taped up. The unit itself had a bent corner. Fortunately it did not affect its function. It cools quite nicely.
I ordered this ac online from Wal-Mart.com it was delivered to my front door in 3 days. I purchased it to cool a 32ft camper. It fit perfect into the small camper windows. Easy installation and cooled the entire camper. I am very satisfied with this ac. I highly recommend it for small areas.
Perfect for a room and cools really good. Cheaper at Walmart than other places. I already had one and Walmart was $20 cheaper than what I paid for the other one. I live in a mobile home so sometimes the big AC needs help. Doesn't seem to make much difference in electric bill. Easy to install.
Hey! Good for the price it's been a week so far, works well and cools the room only when set to high cool. Anyways it does what it say it does. Shouldn't ask everything and expect from a very basic AC. Will update if their is any change in coming days due to rising temperature.
For small rooms the GE 5000 BTU Mechanical runs decently enough , even in high heats such as we have been having recently. It's the beginning of July 2020, and it's been in the 90's with high humidity . That said though, I do wish I bought the GE 6000 BTU unit for just a little bit more money. Why, well it takes a little time for it to cool down in my small room, and I do need to run it on 7 or above for it to cool at all. Having the air conditioning temp dial up to 7 is needed , even on 75 to 85 degree days. That said though, it's a good unit. You just to need to run it a lot. My electric bill only went up $10 bucks during June, and it was a cooler month, less running, so I do expect a $15 to $20 dollar jump in my bill for July. Was it worth the $130 I spent, yup. Again, I do wish I bought the GE 6000 unit.
DO NOT BUY THIS. The first one that came, I plugged it in and it sounded like a turbo jet, so I exchanged it for another one. The second one I received worked fine for the first month and after that, started making crazy sounds. I'm very dissatisfied with this product.
