GE® 6,000 BTU Electronic Window Air Conditioner for Small Rooms up to 250 sq ft.

There's nothing to dislike about the unit (so far.) It was installed in less than 20 minutes, it has nice, clean lines and makes than the normal amount of sound many other units emit. My item came in perfect condition....no cracks, dents or chips. Best of all I keep my central air set about 5 degrees higher than I use to while this unit keeps my bedroom VERY comfortable. So, my main A.C. gets at least an 8 hour rest at night and the window unit gets to rest the balance of the day. Neither system is getting stressed.

I love this A/C!!! I took a chance on this one because I returned a different one from a different (supposedly better) company. The other a/c unit was VERY noisy.... THIS one is so quiet! It's in my bedroom and I get a good nights sleep with it. The remote control is great so I can adjust it without getting up. I bought it in 2019 and waited a year before I reviewed it.... thought Id give it time to see how well it preformed. Well, I am very impressed. Give this a shot. Great a/c for an amazing price.

Fairly easy to install. A little heavy but installed it myself. It's actually fairly small. Will fit in a window that is up to 34" wide which is exactly the width of mine. I added some insulation behind the accordion wings because there are some spaces top

i really like the ac and it works well. However, the only problem i have is that when i took the ac out of the box, it only comes with one side panel instead of two.

Easy to install, easy to operate. BUT, it IS for little rooms. It cools two great. My only problem is the filter light is ALWAYS on, even when the filter is clean and dry. It also is flimsy and doesn't seem like it will last very long. For what you get, the price is high. I will probably chance Facebook Marketplace for a good used one, but was scared because my neighborhood is full of drug users and I didn't want to inhale drug residue:)

The unit seems to work OK for the price but the air filter appears part of it was melted during manufacturing. GE luckily will be sending me a replacement filter so I don’t need to box the whole unit up to return... it does run a little loud and the fan seems to hit the styrofoam.

Came damaged.. It doesn't cool off small area room at all.. I could have just kept my old raggedy ac in.. it blew way more air... Even on high it blows like a fan.. then its loud.. I thought this would be a good brand but.. try something else... I have no way to return this smh waste of money

I would give it '0' stars but it wouldn't let me write a review without giving atlease one star. DONT BUY IT!! The information on line, the box, and instructions say it will fit a 36" window. The wings only span to a max of 30". Hired someone to make it fit in the window. More disappointments, on the highest fan speed and coolest setting, barely 'blows' at all. My little $139 cheapie by Artic Air is far superior. Cheapie is being reinstalled.

I bought this for my kennel. The unit does not cycle on and off properly. It is set on auto but does not come on despite the temp rising above the selected temperature. The unit has to be shut off and restarted for it to run. Once on, it won't shut off. I need this a/c to maintain a constant temp while I'm away. This is the 3rd item bought online from Walmart and all 3 have been broken, damaged or non functional.

Arrived damaged. I had to use a hammer to get the top piece to fit against the window. The meshing was all pushed in on the back of the unit from falling on something. I tried to figure out how to report damage and this was the only place that gave me a chance to complain about purchase. I installed the air conditioner but was very surprised it was so damaged because it was packed so carefully.
