Ge Gtx33eak 27" Wide 6.2 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer - White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer is what we were looking for. The prior one could not dry an entire wash load completely, and we had to split it into to separate loads. Now we finally can place all of our washed garments in the dryer and have them become dry in just one load. And they do come out quite dry!

Purchased top of the line LG Washer and Dryer in 2019. Both had issues within 4 years. We decided to go back to GE and we are very pleased that we did. These are not top of the line models, yet they do everything that we can ask for. The size difference in that it is only 27" deep helps a lot due to our limited space. Prior to purchasing I read some negative reviews of the end cycle buzzer being too loud, but we don't have any issues at all. Love the capacity, we are three adults in the house. We selected this machine primarily due to the simplicity of the controls as our last set (LG) were digital, which was the first ting to go on the washer. We recommend this machine!

When I tell you my son and I are soooooo thankful!!! We have been without a dryer for so long after ours literally fried and the drum tot a hole in the side….After using the laundromat and spending so much trying to dry clothes in machines that literally didn't fully dry our clothes, we bought this dryer yesterday, got it installed today and we're drying within minutes! No loud noise, no rattling, no having to repeat dry cycles & it has the capacity to fit a full load in and dry with ease….Wheeewwwwww what a MAJOR relief!

There was smoke coming from inside the dryer when we did the trial run but I looked this up and its normal for new dryers. It was burning some of the oil from the initial install. I ran it through about 3 times and it stopped smoking. Overall its doing great so far and drying well. It's quiet when running BUT it sucks there is no easy option to turn off the buzzer.

I bought the dryer due to size and needed a smaller size dryer to fit my space. Would have loved a larger dryer but my space did not allow. Dryer works well. Cannot give 5 stars because of the end of cycle buzzer. Wished I could easily turn that off.

Don't like the lint trap - it is too hard to take in and out. Definitely preferred the lint trap from my previous dryer (a GE dryer purchased around 2003). Also hate that you have to basically slam the door to get it to close. I miss having a light in it. The one thing in it favor is that at least it isn't as big as lots of other brands - it barely fits in my laundry room - if it were another inch in depth you could not open the door going into the garage.

I wish I knew that this dryer does not produce enough HEAT to dry my wash in One Cycle, I need to go around twice at least to get the laundry dried, which is ENERGY DEFICIENT.

The dryer itself I am thankful works as designed since my old one stopped working. I just honestly have no idea how it passed overall with the dryer signal. Most of us work from home these days. The signal is insanely loud & why 3 times at almost 10 seconds each buzz???!!! It's like because it's the cheapest model as a consumer we are penalized for being on a budget with your marketing & design team who approved it. I wish i could afford to return it but here we are. Please do better in the future because I really do like GE products but this one here i definitely would not recommend.
