Works great. No problems. The unit was easy to install and everything came with the unit to install it. Cools the bedroom off quick and quite operation
The cooling was immediate, the noise level actually is quiet. And, it's using loss energy than my old air conditioner ( that would pop my fuse with my other air conditioner running).. I can run this in the bedroom and the other in the living room without problems. :)
I purchased 2 of these in 2021 with both working flawlessly. Now 2025 and added a third. Same unit, same price even down to the picture on the box. All 3 units working perfectly. Extremely quiet and “0” issues.
So far so good with the air conditioner. It has done the job cooling the master bedroom in 90 degree heat and is very quiet when put into quiet mode. My only issue is with the water hitting the fan making a pinning noise. This is quite apparent when I first turn on the a/c but seems to diminish over time. If it wasn't for this quirky noise I would be inclined to sya this is the best a/c I have ever purchased...Let's hope it holds up.
This is the best AC we have ever purchased, but it took some research to figure out how to get rid of the gurgling sound that was happening when we first started using it. The sound was so horrible we couldn't sleep. However, after reading online and in the manual about the drain plug on the unit, we (easily) took off the plug while the AC was in the window. We have three windows on our bedroom wall and the AC was in the center window - we were able to access the plug quite easily through the window on the right of the AC unit. Once all the water drained out this AC was whisper quiet!!! The manual said the AC might be less efficient without the drain plug but we did not find that to be the case. We absolutely LOVE this unit now, and keep it on the "Cool" and "Quiet" modes. We also love that there is a Dehumidifier setting. If we ever need another AC for another bedroom we will get this one again.
I love it , so quiet, cools great. Easy to install nice remote lots of options
I have only used it for 1 season, but it has operated well. This was also the only around 6200 BTU A/C that would fit in a 39" width window when I went shopping for an A/C before a heat wave! Luckily it has been good and reliable. It is very heavy to install and remove at season end, though, at 65.8 lbs.
I have 3 of these ACs. The most recent one I purchased to replace the same model that had developed a terrible oscillating vibration on the inside that made it impossible to sleep (only 2 years old) and sounded more like the 10,000 btu unit I have in the living room. The new one does it sometimes but it is not as loud and hopefully it doesn't get to the point where it is unbearable like the other. The 3rd unit is dead quiet like you would expect an AC rated at 43db to be. So they are great when they work correctly but there are some major quality control issues between units. I have also noticed they tend to rust much faster than the Frigidaires I have in other rooms. I removed the drain plugs in them to allow the pooled water to drain out hoping to keep the rust at bay and it also makes them quieter because the water will make contact with the fan and make more noise. Retaining and spraying water is normal though with Window ACs since the water sprays on the evaporator and helps the AC efficiency. One other note in order to make them quieter they do not move as much air as traditional ACs so they do take longer to cool a room and cycle quite a bit even in small bedrooms.
After a year of use, the unit has failed. The only thing I can say positive about it is that it is quiet. I had to buy a dehumidifer to couple with this unit because it was awful at controlling humidity. Unfortunately I woke up this morning to the AC beeping erratically with the settings changing out of nowhere. It's Sunday and going to be 100+ degrees today so I can't call GE and see what's up. I plan to call tomorrow morning and see what options are available but I'm not very optimistic from what I've read online so far. Disappointed.
Very loud. Constantly hear water circulating in the coils inside and outside. Unit is upstairs of a craft room. Air is cold but shoots straight up toward ceiling and does nothing to cool area. Would NOT recommend this unit!!
