GE - 7.4 Cu. Ft. 12-Cycle Gas Dryer - Diamond Gray

It's probably in its last leg. Or a part needs to be replaced ... its producing heat. I vacuumed out the front screen area and the rear/egress as best I could. Withe flex pipe off it flows good cfm. The dryer takes 3 times to dry @90 minutes each. Is it getting too little heat, is there something else? Idk. It's been awsome until now. Anyone got ideas?

I love the look of this dryer. Very stylish and a cool gray look. I also would've loved it even more had the heating element not gone out in the short few years I've had it. It worked beautifully until yesterday. Don't think I could recommend this product just based off longevity.

Purchased the washer and dryer combo 4 years ago. Worked great until today. A jacket got stuck in the dryer and it completely stopped working. We cannot figure it out.

We have tried all the settings to dry a regular load of laundry, not towels and no jeans. It takes several cycles to dry a load. We've used high heat, medium heat, set times, and even over an hour., seems like the dry sensor isn't working. I do not recommend this dryer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do not buy!! This is my first time buying an GE product and this dryer is not making a good case for me to become a repeat buyer. I had to replace the burnt heating element wire twice already and it just burnt again so this makes three times since I brought it three years ago. Its very frustrating to see that this is a common issue and still GE will not do anything about the situation. I spent too much money on this combo for it to need repairs this often.

This dryer has been nothing but problems from day 1. 3 years old and it takes 2 hours for clothes to dry. I am in the process of buying a new dryer because I figure I'll save enough in utility cost to pay for it.

While the dryer works well, and dries clothes in a timely manner, I do not recommend this product. There is an incessant beeping (think of the beeping noise a heavy equipment machine makes while it is backing up) that never stops. The sound will drive you crazy. Do not purchase this dryer.

Mine do not sufficiently dry the cloths . I have to turn ON drying cycle twice when cloths do get dry

Not built to last. The features are nice but it doesn't matter when a dryer that is that expensive barely lasts 5 years

Bought this GE washer/dryer combo about 3 1/2 years ago. we have not been happy with the performance of the washer...always goes out of balance. Now the dryer has stopped like someone unplugged it from the wall! The wall outlet tested fine...even tried the outlet for the washer (it runs ok) but no help. With the help of a local appliance parts supply It looks like the main circuit board has failed. The cost of the circuit board is almost as much as the dryer! This just shouldn't happen to a dryer being it is only 3 1/2 years old! I have always trusted GE to build a reliable product...not so sure anymore.
