Good capacity. Good features and quiet. The sensor drying feature is not perfect but when the timed setting is activated, clothing dries very well. The light feature is great.
This dryer is just a little smaller than my last one. But it does not perform like it. I have dried from small loads to large ones. My clothes and bedding come out dry, fluffy and no wrinkles. Love it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new GE gas dryer. It can hold a large load of items and runs very quietly. I especially like that I can add or subtract minutes to the drying cycle as well was select the wrinkle free option for drying shirts.
Efficient & quiet, we love it! Intuitive layout that is easily understood.
Capacity is very good. We find the structure to be poor. The door is so flimsy that you have to push at the latching point to get it to close, The lint filter feels like it will break each time it's pulled, The overall unit weight, is far less than our 10 year old Maytag, which indicates a reduction in strength. I believe we will soon regret this purchase. It seems the venting capacity has been increased to a point that the temperature does not allow prompt drying. A second cycle is often needed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used GE appliances for over 40 years . . I have never had any issues with any of them over those 40+years. I am disappointed with this dryer. It’s been 3 months and a service man came to my house and had to place an order for a new control panel as it works intermittently. Sometimes I will push the on button to get it to start drying/drum turning etc. and sometimes it’ll start and sometimes it won’t budge. So I am left with wet clothes in a drum that doesn’t work. Ugh I am not used to that because GE products have always been dependable in the past.
Not happy with dryer. Yes has the capacity but will not dry a large load. Need to run a load several times. Questionable if sensors run properly. I would return this dryer if I could. Would not recommend.
I purchased this dryer to replace my previous dryer of 11 years. I've had the worse experience yet. The dryer lasted about 12 months. It just will not heat to dry the load properly. It's very inconsistent. Bodewell has come out to service it 4 times already and. cannot seem to fix it for good. It takes 2- 3 hours for one load to dry properly.
I am so disappointed. We literally got this dryer delivered yesterday. First load in and I hear this loud metal scraping noise. I take the laundry out and start it up again, and still hear the noise. The drum is not aligned right or something and is hitting some metal internally. How does a brand new dryer do this? Beyond irritated. Now I get to wait for a repair man to come out at the end of the week to "fix" My brand new dryer that I have used one time. And don't get me started on how not easy it was to schedule the service. And was told it was out of warranty and will need to pay?!! How? I just bought it a day ago. So beyond angry.
A load of clothes does not dry with first attempt. They are always damp. I have to go to the basement two times and run the dryer again to get clothes dry. I have tried everything, including doing small loads (how efficient is that if I have to run the dryer many more times); changing cycles; changing temperature; making sure only same fabrics are done at same time. For example, men's white crew socks are done alone (small load as it's only for one person. I checked the instruction manual to make sure I am not missing anything. I am not.
