GE® 7.8 cu. ft. Capacity Smart Front Load Electric Dryer

I have owned this make and model of dryer 3 times now. The first one lasted me 12 years and had to be replaced. The second one I had to sell with a home after 3 years. When I needed another dryer I did not hesitate one which one to get. They have run faithfully and this newer model so far hasn't disappointed me. I love the features, cycle choices, capacity, the accurate drying time and energy savings. They are my go to and highly recommend.

Large drum. It has a variety of settings for efficient drying depending on clothes. I believe my drying time has decreased. Relatively quiet. Sleek appearance. Compliments my space. So far so good!

Because of past experience with GE appliances, we upgraded to this GE dryer when making options selection during the purchase of a new home. Dryer works as advertised, making short work and efficiently drying clothes.

I have been impressed with the overall drying capabilities of this dryer. It is energy efficient and does not take long to dry clothes. The wrinkle feature is my favorite feature!

So far this dryer is great. It is a better quality dryer. I recently purchased a Samsung that lasted 3 months. But that being said was a blessing in disguise because this GE dryer is so much nicer with a better selection of cycles and features. The capacity that it can hold is extremely convenient. I am pleased with the performance of this dryer.

I love my dryer! Capacity is awesome! I can fit all sizes of bedding inside. Couldn't want for more cycles, they leave nothing to be desired. Dries quickly. I know I'm saving energy - saw that on my bill. Haven't tried all features yet since haven't had dryer long but long enough to know i love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it because it can dry a lot of clothes because the barrel is big. If I don't leave the clothes in there after the cycle ends, the clothes don't get wrinkled. I don't like the extended cycles. 99% of the time it drys the clothes all the way. It does get it hot enough to sanitize my clothes.

Since I bought the appliances I had issues with washer and dryer, the time of Washing is always longer and sometimes I have to spin again and again because it won't dry the clothes, with the dryer, the clothes is almost never dry, I have to put more time using more energy. And now my dryer is making noise in the motor.

We were very happy with this dryer at first, but within two years of purchasing it, the internal components failed and destroyed the drum. It suddenly started making a loud clunking noise, which turned out to be the drum being torn apart from the inside. The damage was severe, including a gouge about 1/4 inches wide that extended nearly all the way around the drum. We had a repairman inspect it, and he said he had never seen anything like it. Unfortunately, this type of damage is not covered under the warranty for this model.

I purchased this dryer with matching washer and now both don't work. First the washer and now the dryer. I paid over $2000, and this is what I get. I have paid less for a washer and dryer and they lasted longer than these GE Appliances. I will never in my life purchase another GE product. Buyers please be aware because these models won't last you long, even with the best care. And don't try to fix them, you will waste money on parts that won't work. 4 years and they don't want to power on anymore. What a waste of money. I will now try Maytag or Whirlpool, and hope for the best.
