GE 8,000 BTU Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner, AKCQ08ACH, White

What most impressed me with this unit was the speed with which it was delivered. When I ordered it, the expected delivery was about two weeks away, which I was fine with, but we're already experiencing a heatwave. The unit actually arrived about three days after I ordered it. It was extremely well wrapped and arrived in excellent condition. Also, the person (yes, an actual person) who shipped the air conditioner sent a text message giving me his name and phone number, should I experience a problem. Really, something that I was quite amazed with. Fortunately, he did such an excellent job I never had a need to call him. But it was comforting to know I could. The unit itself is fine. It's only 8,000 BTUs, so it's not very powerful. It's also not the most energy efficient, but it fit perfectly into the sleeve that the old one was in and it cools down the room. That's really all I could ask for. Oh, and for the built-in (through-the-wall or wall air conditioners) this one was about the least expensive. So, it also has that going for it.

powerful ac cools my apartment down, very easy install in an existing sleeve. At first the delivery date wasn't until July so I called the company and asked if I could get it sooner. The gentleman I spoke to said definitely I will send it today which he did and I received it within a few days.

I cant give a complete review yet as I just installed it three days ago. So far it's running great, easy install quiet and good cool air. The instructions were the best I ever got with any appliance easy to understand made it easy.

Nice, modern look, quiet and easy to install in old sleeve box. More BTU power. Very happy with it.

We love this GE air conditioner! Its very powerful; it cools the whole 2nd floor. It has two fan speeds and the auto setting works great!

It's great for small areas. Quiet. DID NOT COME WITH INSTRUCTION BOOKLET. I was able to find it online and print it but should never have had to...calls to customer service were long holds and being shuffled to different departments. When I asked for a supervisor, I was disconnected

The unit had trouble in hot weather. Seems like may be defective. The compressor keeps shutting down and restarting before the room cools down. Just installed a week ago so will see how it goes. It is a fairly quiet unit. Seems to not be as strong as previous unit at same capacity. It may be not working properly, so will see if it is defective how the manufacturer stands behind the warranty

This unit was sold as through the wall air conditioner but in reality its very small size window air conditioner which didn't work for us at all. Unsatisfied with this purchase. Wrong representation for the merchandise and much higher price that its supposed to be for this type of air conditioners. Also arrived 3 days later after I received an email of successful delivery. When I emailed the customer service about not receiving it they advice me to go around talk to my neighbors and try to locate my package. Not funny. We had bad experience with this shipper and merchandise

Wrong unit sent along with unit not having any sleeve included unit sent was an AC only when purchased an AC heat unit as described in descriptionNothing within the description it says that this sleeve was not included . emails with delivery issues were very vague and did not add or cover my issues and concerns. extremely vague..

I can't comment on the air conditioner itself because I never received it from Cloverhill. I purchased it on July 16 and they charged my credit card and never shipped it. It is now July 24 and UPS says it's never been shipped. Don't bother calling or email because they will not return either one. Walmart just issued a credit to my visa card and said it would take 10 days to show. Don't buy anything from Cloverhill. I have no idea how they got the four and five star ratings. They are possibly the worst business I've ever had anything to do with.
