These bulbs worked great for me. I previously had a regular 60 watt white bulb outside, and I couldn't make it through the doorway onto my deck without getting a swarm of insects in my face. These bulbs have made a drastic difference. The number of insects swarming the light fixture has gone from hundreds to only a small handful, a huge improvement. For what it's worth, not all fixtures are rated for 90 watt bulbs, so you might want to consider the 60 watt version of this item.
I have been using these lights for years, more than a decade, but for the last 5 years it has been hit and miss. And here lately it's been a miss more often than not. I have purchased my last 2 bulb pack. I replaced the bulb Sunday night (used only at night), turned on Wednesday night and all seemed well, looked out a few hours later the bulb was out. Replaced the bulb Wednesday night and yes it had shot out all seemed well until I went to flipped the switch Friday night, no light. Two (2) bulbs blown in less than a week. No More. I used the 90W and when I purchased a new light fixture for my front porch I made sure it would support at least a 100W bulb because I have no other light source out front. And no it isn't my fixture or the wiring, I've had a CFL out there every since and not only does it turn on every night it stays on all night until I turn it off the next morning. No blown bulb and it's been out there now for slightly over two weeks now. If you're wondering, I also called my electrician to make sure the wiring was ok because 2 blown bulbs in 5 nights was insane.
Bought these June 22nd,put the first bulb in and it made it to turning on the porch light it blew out as soon as I turned it on!!!! So I put the other bulb in and it just blew out tonight 7-20-2015. I will search for a CFL or LED 90 or 100 watt equivalent....These bulbs were a total waste of money.
Difficult to find these bug lights in 90 watts; so I was very pleased to see them on the Walmart.com website. They seem to help quite a bit from having flying bugs (e.g., moths) from flying around the porch lights and trying to get into the house every time I have to come in and out one of the doors at night.
Don't waste your money. Two bulbs went out in a matter of two nights. At first I thought it was my light fixture needed attention or replacement. It didn't. The bulbs simply aren't worth your time to purchase or even put in your light fixture to begin with! If they were giving them away for free... they still wouldn't be worth your time to put them in!
Essential bug light for summer to keep the bugs away from the porch light and the garage light. Tungsten bulbs do not contain mercury and do not emit harmful energy waves. Tungsten bulbs are also brighter, and they last almost as long as the other bulbs, despite what they say.
I bought this GE yellow bug light and they only worked one night. As soon as I turned off the switch the bulb burnt out. It happened with all four bulbs. Don't buy this product, you are only throwing your money away. I will never buy these again.
Put in the first bulb when I got home with them and it blew after turning it on. Thought it was a fluke, so we put in the second bulb. It lasted maybe an hour and then it blew as well. Do NOT buy these. Waste of time, energy, and money.
Surprisingly bright compared to yellow bug lights I've purchased in the past. Great product.
bought 4 boxs of bulbs the best one lasted three days not a good average for 8 bulbs
