I really like the design of this air conditioner. This will fit perfectly in our cottage in Vermont!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it and using it due we have had heat advisory due how hot here. I needed due my surgery just had and one going to. have soon. I will be in bed for at least two months. It. Keeps cool and not drenched in sweat.
We lived in our 2-story home for the last 35 years. It's always been difficult to keep the two bedrooms upstairs cool during the summer. Decided to purchase a portable unit like this to give it a try in one of the bedrooms. It works perfectly to keep it cool and comfortable. Getting ready to purchase another one for the second bedroom.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to have something for the game room so that I didn't have to cool off the entire house just when we're using one room. This works wonderfully. I love the features and it's easy to use and portable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GE 3 in 1 8000 btu Portable Air Conditioner for small rooms. This AC cools rooms down fast! AC has 2 cooling modes, 2 fan speeds and a built in dehumidifier. 24 hour timer and easy roll wheels. Comes with remote so you can easily adjust the unit from anywhere in the room. This is a fantastic AC unit. Easy install kit is included. I'm very happy with this product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I selected this product to be used in a small room in my house that just doesn't cool as much as the rest. It was very easy to set up and has done the job! I will say that the exhaust hose that goes from the unit to the window vent can heat up. Which in return can add heat to the room you're trying to cool. You can purchase sleeves of insulation to prevent that! The unit is not crazy loud and does what it's supposed to do. Easily moves around and isnt very heavy at all
So far so good, although it doesn't seem to really be an energy star AC and I will have to see what the electrical bill will be, since I have just started to use it. I do notice a slight smell of refrigerant, maybe because it's new. My building is older, so It has to be plugged into a special outlet, but still after 20 minutes, plug starts to get warm. I do not blame that on the AC, though. It is very simple to use, simple to set up the exhaust hose out the window, even to remove it. I purchased some special aluminum tape to make sure the vent out the window is sufficiently secured without drafts. The summer has already started to be hot, so, although, I will not be running it all the time and definitely not during the night, I think it is a good fit for my needs. I even enjoy the little jingle when turning it on or off. The four star rating is because I do not see anywhere that it is an energy star AC
Cools ok for what it is. It's as loud as any other low-cost unit. No problems there. HOWEVER, I'm in a very humid climate (swampy part of Florida) and must use the upper drain fitting so unit doesn't shut off 3 times a day due to full tank. HERE IS THE PROBLEM- - The thread on the fitting is weird. How hard is it to design it with garden hose thread? Why the odd thread that I can find nothing at the hardware store to seal up to? Why is no accessory or adapter offered? I have several of this style of A/C unit by various brand names all use garden hose thread - the GE one is practically useless if I can't hook up a drain hose that properly seals, so I probably won't buy a GE in the future.
Actually, this product is not as efficiently concerning the voltage it claims to use., it cramp a 900-1000 voltage while is in high mode. is a concerning issued with the electricity here where i live. The cooling stream is not constant, I think it it should be sync with the temperature control and it does not reach it.Over the packaging is good, it a well-designed product,
I am very unhappy with my purchase, First off its very noisy. A very annoying problem is the vent keeps falling out of the window!! Not very helpful to cooling. The thermostat is also off a few degrees. It does not match thermometers in the bedroom. I truly wish I bought a different AC.
