Had this now for approximately 3 years. Absolutely love it. No regrets. As my other appliances wear out, I'm purchasing all GE.

Brand new…but so far so good. Looking forward to a long time use without any problems.

Incomplete drying when using sensors even when "more dry" is selected. Broken door switch after just 20 months of service due to cheap plastic component

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There hasn't been a load that hasn't required multiple dry cycles. The “add more time” option is not enabled. Tried multiple settings with the same results.

I bought this washer & dryer March of 2024.  I have been calling for repairs since April 2024.   The washer is so loud the we can not do laundry after 7pm at night.  It shakes the whole house.  When the repair man Jeff has been out (3 times) he continues to say it is "normal".  Jeff says "its off balance" The washer door does not close smoothly. The dryer does not dry the clothes in a time efficient manor.  I have to use the sanitize cycle at least once.  This make the laundry take 240-400 minutes to dry.  I never see steam outside of the house at the vent.  I live in Massachusetts, in the winter I should see steam.  This is the third dryer I have had at this house and the previous two had steam outside of the vent. When you open the dryer mid-cycle the clothes are just warm, not hot.   Jeff has been out 3 times to fix this.  The first time Jeff said the dryer vent was clogged.  We had it cleaned.  Dryer still would not dry.  On the most recent visit Jeff put in all new thermostats.  Dryer still will not dry. The door also broke on the dryer.  the tinted plastic would not snap in.  The door had to be replaced. I have 5 kids and 3 dogs.  I do a lot of laundry.  I purposely did not go to a big box store to purchase these appliances, I wanted to support a locally owned business.  I was told this set would wash/dry a king size comforter easily. On my last call with this repair service I asked to have a repair man other than Jeff. He always seemed annoyed to be at my house and had not fixed either machine. This dryer has been a disappointment since the day we purchased it. Quite simply, it does not dry most of anything that we put in it. We've grown accustomed to damp towels, and hanging them up after they've been drying for 90 minutes. A load of normal clothing takes about 100 minutes, and there's still dampness. Huge mistake.

Have to run clothes 2-5 times before they are dry.
