GE APPLIANCES GFQ14ESSNWW combination washer electric dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washes great, quiet, low heat drying protects clothes and drains smoothly. Great all-in-one solution. Perfect for small spaces. 120-volt plug and play design is a lifesaver. Easy to install once you have the right parts. Needed a branch tailpiece and a tee valve change for under my bathroom sink and everything connected cleanly. Never thought it would be this easy.

Great product. I little more vibration than I expected but I also live in a 5th wheel so its to be expected. Drys Great for being a ventless. I was a little skeptical about the drying but it works great. Have had for about a month and have had no issues. The capacity is great too, I have put a king size blanket in and it washed and dried with no problem.

This might be the greatest creation by mankind. I was very on the fence on which 2 in 1 to get, many brands many mixed reviews. This 2 in 1 blew me away. I was thinking maybe 5 pieces of clothing per load, max. You can dang near fill the drum all the way full (which is a decent laundry basket full) and still have a full load of laundry washed and dried in 3 1/2 hours. It takes about 2 hours to just dry but all 2 in 1s do. We're a family of 3 and can not ask for a better solution for a space saving 2 in 1. This even competes with the bigger 2xxx$ combos, if not exceeds those models. Absolutely blown away by the results. Have yet to put something in there and it not be dry enough, only exception are jeans are a little damp around the waist band, but definitely dry enough to store away. We Have it stored in the nose of the camper, the spin cycle rocks it a little bit, but only for a few seconds at a time, the drying cycle however, you can barely feel the slightest vibration to nothing at all. Super quiet machine. We've had a ton of laundry to catch up on and we've ran it back to back for 2-3 days straight and absolutely no issues during that period. Checked the lint trap and hardly anything caught on it, so very little routine maintenance is needed. Heck it even done a king size comforter with no issues. 100000/10 I'd recommend to anybody on the fence about buying. Definitely beats the laundromat.

This unit works great. I've looked every wehre but don't see a lint filter. From what I've been able to see, the lint is collected along the door seal and I just clean the seal. But I saw that the GE Profile has a separate lint filter. But this 24" unit doesn't have a separate filter. Am i missing something?

I wasn't sure if I would like having an all in one since it would take more time to go all the way through the cycle but I love it. I just put a fair amount of clothes in, add soap, set the cycle easily and push start. It's really great and the size is so unintrusive. I couldn't ask for anything better. Perfect!

I would've preferred a larger unit but couldn't fit it into a small space so this is adequate for my needs, single guy. I don't like bending down for a front loader so I raised it up on a platform. It does the job nicely and most cases with relatively easy loads up to an including queen flannel sheets. If I put in more than one pair of jeans or a couple of bath towels, the tends not to be completely dry dry in a normal cycle and needs extra time, up to four hours total, but this is a small price to pay for a dryer that does not need vent and uses a 110 outlet and relatively low power consumption. Loads with shirts and socks, do not vibrate, but larger loads with for example, three pairs of jeans will definitely cause vibration when first spinning off the water which lasts only 30 seconds to a minute at the most. I'm happy with the cleaning and the choice of many cycles. Sometimes I use the soak cycle and then a quick wash which is overall quicker and yet can leave an interval in between the soaking and the washing that improves cleaning efficiency.

My family and I were looking for deals on a washer and dryer, to be placed in the basement of the home we are renting. One aspect we were looking into was the size - it needed to be compact, as the stairwell to the basement is narrower than the average home (built prior to 1910). We also factored in how much work would be involved to remove it and put into a different home when we decide to move out. This one checked all the boxes: it would fit down the basement stairs, it was a combination washer/dryer (not requiring us to lug 2 separate machines back up and into a new home later) and was at a price point I had not seen on a compact unit before. We're glad we decided to go for it! I love that it can soak, steam and sanitize! Its helpful to keep in mind the three main factors influencing the time it will take to wash & dry your clothes in this combo unit: 1) its compact size can only handle a few items at a time, 2) loads must be fully dry before the next load can start washing, and 3) condenser dryers, in general, take 1.5 times longer to dry than vented options do - which means you can only fill the already compact drum 1/2 way with items if you want everything to dry properly (better make sure there aren't any towels mixed in with a clothes load or you'll have to run the dryer cycle twice!) While we love the convenience of having a combo unit (that also fit down the stairs), I don't think I would ever get one in a compact size again. I miss being able to wash my large comforters at home - those still have to be brought to a laundromat - and being able to have a quick light load fully washed and dried in under an hour.

We have been using this unit since November. It has been nothing but trouble. Service has been performed multiple times. First issue was unit adding water during dry cycle. Second issue, unit overheating. Both fixed. Now same issues are coming back. Plus occasionally leaking. GE will not repkace unless we have five service calls. In meantime we have a useless machine. Do not recommend at all.

This is actually the worst machine I have ever had the displeasure of using. I have been stuck with this sorry excuse for a washing machine for over a year and it has been nothing but endless torture to use. Plus, it takes anywhere from 3-6 hours to wash and dry anything. At this current moment, my clothes have been drying for FOUR hours and they are somehow more soaked than after the wash. I have tried everything to fix it and nothing is working. I don't wish this appliance on my worst enemy. If you are reading this- Save your sanity and go find something else to buy.

I love the concept. I put the clothes in it washes it and then it dries it kind of like a steam clean however, when the clothes come out of the dryer after being in for 2 to 3 hours, they are still wet. I would not recommend this for anybody that has more than one person in the household, and that they don't care about waiting and having to hang their clothes up after they've been dropped and dried. Was not impressed with it. I like my clothes dry when I take them out of the dryer.
