I love the way the washer lightly spins before filling to help distribute the clothing easily. It offers lots of choices for many different types of fabrics. There is a drawer you can put your detergent in for proper dispersal into the drum, but I didn't see it mentioned in the book anywhere. Anyway I use a pressed detergent sheet for my wash, so I just folded it and put it in there. Works fine! Huge capacity!
Absolutely love it. I swear it looks like our clothes are brighter , like they're getting really clean. Always bought another brand but will swear by GE products.
I have always purchased Whirlpool product's in the past but NOT THIS TIME - as I read up about customer satisfaction of the GE washer I PURCHASED - the ease of operation with the LED panel is great - agitator is a must because we were disappointed with the previous Whirlpool we had which had problems over the past 3 years ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH. My father years ago was sold on GE Products and now I have came to GE ( for good) - my wife told me to go buy a washer and when it was installed she was very happy and commented how easy it was to operate and how quick the wash cycle was / GREAT JOB GE …..Im sold on future GE Appliances
I have only had the washer 1 week but so far I love it. Large drum, effective agitator, spins the load so well that it saves me drying time. Most importantly I love all the control options. All loads so far have come out very clean - from delicates to jeans and towels. I'm praying it will continue to perform this well for years to come.
I love this washer. I'm old school and wanted a top load washer with an agitator. Check. Wanted to choose my own water level. Check. The washer has enough settings for my needs and works well, better than my old trusted machine that died even. If I forget to choose the water level on my own, the auto feature does a great job and I've had no problems. Washer is big enough for blankets and bedding for king size bed. Overall I am totally satisfied with this washer.
The automatic water level is a nice feature but inadequate. It does not allow adequate water to allow the clothes to agitate properly. The clothes just sit in a shallow pool of water that only rises to about half the level of the load and "wiggle around" as the agitator runs. The top of the clothes are not even wet!
The washer is doing a good job cleaning the clothes and the performance so far is great. The auto water level does not work for me on some loads. I don't like when the washer turns back on after the wash cycle is finished. You have to turn it off twice.
I have only run 4 loads in this machine and used four different settings. My clothes have come out clean. Nice assortment of options. I have one complaint and that I'd how loud it is! Not just the spin cycle, but from start to finish, the agitator it's very noisy.
Have had the washing machine for a month now. Has done a nice job with wagging the clothes. It does get a little loud at times. And will shake loudly when clothes are not evenly distributed in thr inside. I do wish music at end of cycle was a bit louder. I know most want it the other way.
Overall, the washer is fairly easy to use. It does not have all the fancy new bells and whistles - no internet connections. But that's okay with me. The reason for the 2-star rating is that I can not get the soap to rinse out. I use the correct amount of soap ( Tide HE liquid) - maybe even a little less than suggested. The washer is not over loaded at all. I use the auto sense setting, with the water temperature set to warm. And do an extra rinse. With all this, I still have soap residue left in the clothes - it is extremely visible on darker closes - so much so that I need to rinse them out in a laundry tub after the wash. This is very frustrating and time consuming.
