GE Appliances JES1657DMBB 1.6 cu. ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fits my microwave oven are perfectly. The 1150 watt power is awesome and the oven (black) is stylish. It is very intuitive to use and large enough for good size dishes.

This product is just super, capacity, all the above are absolutely great, and of coarse the workmanship great.. Cooks fast, easy to use. So glad I chose your product, I am very pleased with.

I have owned a GE Microwave for the past 9 years and have never and any problems. The controls on this new model are identical to my previous microwave except for a few changes which I appreciate.

I love the size and performance of this microwave but this is the second model in a year and a half. The first one did a power failure so I unplugged it and was going to buy a new one but I decided to replug it after a few days and it started back for about 2 months then it would turn on but it doesn't heat up. It still looks brand new. I liked it so much tha I decided to order another one which I received yesterday. Just warmed up a cup of tea and this one is so noisy. I will try it again later. I now see that this model has been discontinued as it probably should be if not perfected.

We got this microwave in 2020 and off late we noticed there are cracks all around the base and it makes popping sounds while heating something. We have stopped using it because of safety concerns but really disappointed with the quality of the product.

Purchased the microwave in October 2021. It has worked great since purchase, but 4 1/2 years later, the microwave intermittently stops while in use. We are only a family of two, so it's not like it is used a lot. I know electronic appliances don't last forever, but I thought a GE appliance would last longer than 4 1/2 years. I guess not. My new purchase won't be GE.

We have had this microwave a little more than 18 months. I tried to turn it on today and nothing happened. We unplugged it and checked the breaker box and that did not help either. Very disappointed because we really liked using this microwave.

Microwave has started turning on on its own randomly. It has been taken care of and only ever been in one location. Seems very dangerous that it is able to do that. If we unplug it then plug it back it it will randomly start running within the next few hours.

I purchased this microwave a year and a half ago. A couple of weeks ago, it started making noise and had a bad smell. The waveguide cover was burnt, and the microwave was unusable. I kept it spotless, so this was simply a bad product. I contacted GE. They sent out a tech and eventually gave me a rebate for the cost of it, but I still have to pay for the removal of the old one and a contractor to replace the one I will buy, since I have mine installed in a base cabinet. Worst microwave I've ever owned. I appreciate the rebate, but it's still going to cost me a lot for removal and installation. This should not have happened.
