Our foundation on the house is a little slanted so the auto balancing is awesome. It uses less water so my water bill is so much better.
I bought a brand new maytag 2 years ago very basic didn't want alot of computerized buttons to go bad lasted 2 years. I was so disappointed. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income . So I went and bought this washer with extended warranty so far I love it
This washer, PTW600BSRWS, is performing very well. I do wish, however, that the Casual and Basket Clean cycles could be on the washer panel rather than only being accessible in the SmartHQ app. I would also have liked for the pre-wash cycle to be an option available on the machine itself rather than only in the app. I like that the SmartHQ app, together with the washer’s delay feature, gives me many more options for customizing the various available cycles. Also, since this model has an impeller rather than an agitator, I have to be careful to redistribute the load or to add additional items if the load becomes unbalanced. (My machine had been carefully balanced ahead of the first use.) The tendency to become unbalanced with bulky items requires close monitoring during the spin portion of the Bulky cycle. Otherwise, the machine could shake and move out of position. I have not been able to get the Water Station cycle to work using the app.
We love the large capacity of this wash machine. The washer doesn't rattle during the high speed spin out. With the washer on our network it's great to get notifications when the cycle is done. I like the stats you get from the app, telling you how much water you are using and the average cycles per period. Great value!
Just installed. Has a great visual appearance. I can't speak for longevity yet, but it seems well constructed. My wife loves it! Had all whirlpool prior, and the last washer gave up around 4 years. In there defense it wasn't a high end model, but it should last longer. Hoping g the GE works out for us.
I love everything about this washer! Cleaning is really superior. It replaces a fine front load washer, but I noticed that calligram on my polar shirts is gradually going away because this washer cleans it better. We do not have heavy soil and I appreciate how gentle this washer is on our clothes. It is a joy to use.
The washer capacity is perfect for everything. My king size bedspread fits and when washing clothes, the tub is not too deep when getting items out, like my previous washer. So far I really like the water level, once some items looked spotty dry when the cycle was finished, but I am still learning and getting used to the cycles. All in all, I am happy with the washer.
Love the capacity of it, it's very large. Cleans the clothes, towels, and comforters very well. For the price of it, I feel they cut corners and were made cheaply due to being made out of plastic. Maybe it's to keep from rusting, I'm not sure. My biggest complaint is that the machine is very loud when washing. I have several washing machines and this one is by far the loudest. Overall it does what it is supposed to do and washes well.
Had the washing machine for 18 months I'm replacing water pump transmission and everything because it started leaking from the bottom. It cannot and would not get clothing equally spread across load and tore up washing machine due to being off balance. Water started leaking from the bottom of transmission and water pump.
I purchased this washing machine about 4 years ago. It is such a terrible washing machine I HIGHLY recommend you do not purchase. I've been suffering with my purchase since it arrived and am only spending my time writing this review because I don't want anyone else to have to regret their decision. I can't wait until the day this breaks down and it forces my husband to purchase another one.......... My main complaint is that despite purchasing a larger capacity machine, it will NOT handle it. It will constantly get off balance. If I wash my king bedding and blanket (which it should more than handle they are thin), it will go off balance during the rinse cycle. Doing a load of towels is just as bad. The way the machine "fixes itself" is by adding water so that the clothes are swooshed around and hopefully untangle and thus can spin around without shaking across the room. Doing this wastes water and adds additional time to the entire cycle - sometimes by 20 minutes. Sometimes it has to do this process - adding water, drain and spin to unbalance the items in the washing machine - multiple times. What I typically have to do when I catch it doing that is pause the machine, rearrange the clothing myself, unpause the machine, and then hold onto the washing machine until it takes a few spins and becomes unbalanced. I've gotten quite good at this but I feel like I shouldn't have to put this much effort into it.....I mine as well go down to the Lake and beat my clothes on some rocks at this point......
