GE Appliances Top Freezer Freestanding Refrigerator, White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it. This is a newer improved model of my existing fridge. Energy efficient, LED lighting, and pocket handles are the improvements. Kitchen space is limited so this fridge has all the space I need.

Perfect refrigerator for my space. Much quieter and more efficient than the one it replaced. The temperature stays steady.

WOW ! This refrigerator/freezer is great! It's not only good looking, but works very good! I believe this appliance will last for many years with good service and an good care. Thank you GE for a great product !

Nice fridge have no problems with it so far quite happy with it

This Appliance fits in area and is working well at this time. This is a great small size Refrigerator for a apartment. It has been quit and keeps all food at a temperature it should be at.

What I don't like about this refrigerator is: 1} The recessed handles on the side. When I said I wanted a GE, I didn't look at a picture of it to see that that was the way it was. I'm not even sure the rep had a picture of it. He didn't offer one up. 2} I don't care for the butter holder. It only holds 1 lb. where my other one held 2.lbs. 3} the biggest thing I don't care for is the vaccum it creates when it shuts. If you forget something and try to open the door again, you have to wait. I suppose that's part of what makes it energy efficient, but thats the biggest problem for me. I do like the glass shelf on the bottom so I can see whats in the draws. I like the wider shelves on the door so they can hold more. I do like the appearance of it overall.

Freezer has back panel that makes a vibration noise. The noise was so bad in the first refrigerator that I got, I requested a replacement of the appliance. The delivery person said it was "defective". This second one is quieter, but I wonder if the noise will increase over time.

Refrigerator keeps food at adequate temperature. Frozen food stays frozen. Adequate capacity for one or two people. Recessed handle is nice. Needs another small, recessed hold on top of door. Could use another shelf. Very noisy when compressor is running. I measured 53 decibels. Interior light is too dim.

Property management changes new refrigerator but it's just little better than the old ones and it's still having issues for too loud fan or compressor sounds I just hopefully not to get high electric bills..

This refrigerator replaced a 20 year of GE that was great. This one is poorly designed and the only reason I'm keeping it is because nothing else will fit in the space. Pros - It fits into the space and it works but not great. Con's - It's loud, when the compressor shuts off your the tension leaves your body. The recessed handles get dirty quickly, are hard to clean and you can't have long nails and open this refrigerator. The wire shelves are flimsy and I'm afraid to put anything heavy on them for fear they'll bend and snap. The humidity in the refrigerator is very low below 20 degrees according to GE it should be higher. I had to fill the freezer with ice cubes to get it cold enough on the recommended setting. I would love to get glass shelves and figure out a way to put handles on it, but the noise will never subside. If you're going to put this in a garage fine but other then that stay away.
