GE Dishwasher with Front Controls - GDF535PSRSS

My new dishwasher does a great job! Glasses are sparkly clean, no spots; dishes silverware and pots and pans perfect! The only thing I find a little disconcerting is the start and stop. It just takes getting used to. I'm very satisfied with my machine.

We love our new dishwasher. We installed it ourselves and had no issues. It looks great with the other GE appliances we purchased, and is so quiet! It is not smudge resistant so that is something to consider if you have small children but the sturdy handle prevents us from touching the stainless too often.

Simple use. Use the 1 hour wash the most. Like the option/ability not to use the drying mode. Can turn on or off the drying mode. I usually just wash the dishes then let them air dry or wipe them off myself. Items in the dishwasher are not soak and wet after the wash cycle is over. Dishwasher is quieter than my old one. It is not as load as I thought it would have been. You can hear it running though. I didn't need the installation kit as there is a hard copper water line and I had hose clamps at my house that could have been used. Wish the installation kit was returnable.

It's not overly complicated either (I'm not into bells and whistles) -- although I'm not one to thoroughly read about all the feature/functions. I just put it on one setting and keep it there. My only comment is that it takes a very long time to wash. It's not a problem just noticed that it takes a long time.

When I open the dishwasher door, I expect my dishes to be dry. I am not happy that! Please don't tell me that I should have spent more money on the dishwasher so my dishes would be dry. I have never had a dishwasher that did not dry properly! Really disappointed.

We haven't even had this for a year yet and already it's not cleaning dishes well at all. This is true on the short time setting or long-time setting. Cups, glasses, ashtrays and sometimes silverware looks about as bad coming out as they do when you first put them in. There is always water on top of the dishes when we empty the dishwasher. I have used 3 different types of detergent for it, and nothing works! It looks a lot better than it cleans that's for sure. This is the last time I buy appliances from Walmart.

After two years of using it about twice a month during our vacation stays, this dishwasher has stopped working.

The top and bottom racks are completely rusted out two years old. GE you need to do better. This is unacceptable and way below standards. Warning do not but.
