GE® ENERGY STAR® 16.6 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy this product daily. Every time I open it puts a huge smile on my face! The shelving is excellent to rotate adequately whenever I bring my fresh groceries. It also fits perfectly in my kitchen & adds a beautiful touch to that area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was glad to find a refrigerator small enough to fit the available space but big enough to hold plenty of food for a household of 2-3 adults. Also glad it has reversible hinges, and no water connection needed (no ice maker or water dispenser). This fulfills what I need, and at a fair price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator is attractive and matches my other new GE appliances. I needed a smaller frig (16.2 cf) to replace my old GE frig. This one is the perfect size although I need to rearrange some things. Really like the sliding cheese,etc drawer, makes it east to rearrange things when necessary. Freezer is a good size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this fridge for a day, but I love it so far. It is simple, but works great. I cannot yet speak to the energy efficiency, but I am sure it is much better than the old one I had from the 90's. Compared to the old fridge, which was essentially the same size, this has way more space and capacity. The doors can be adjusted either direction, and the shelves offer plenty of options for configuration. There is, of course a temp control for both the freezer and the fridge.

Although I have recently had this new refrigerator installed I am very happy with the spaces inside. I live alone and have a smaller amount of food, but the areas inside the refigerator are well defined and handle much more than I would normally buy. This includes the freezer spaces as well. I look forward to many years of eating pleasures thanks to this refrig.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was our second try at a new refrigerator in 2025. This GE is visibly better made than the replaced Frigidaire. It is quieter and the door shuts firmly. It's almost 17 cu.ft with well configured shelving fits perfectly in the rather tight space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing appliance for the cost. The temperature run is a little noisy which is why I gave it 3 stars. It can be hard in a small space to drown out the noise from this fridge running

The refrigerator is smaller than I would like but due to limited space I could not get anything higher than 65 inches. The refrigerator works well and keeps things cold. I paid extra for solid shelving instead of wire shelving which I like. I also paid extra for an ice maker which has yet to be installed but is scheduled for 8/14

Unfortunately, I'm a renter and can't really do anything about this refrigerator or get a different one. But I have to confirm and echo what others here have said about the temperature inconsistency with this. I have had experiences where liquids in the fridge have started to crystallize and freeze at higher settings but then, when the temperature is lowered, things get alarmingly warm. To satisfy my own curiosity I bought some cheap fridge thermometers and sure enough, depending on when I have opened the door and how long it has opened temps have gotten into the red zone in the 40s. Thankfully I don't keep anything raw in the fridge anymore because I would be too concerned about pathogens but there really isn't anywhere else you put eggs and the freezer is only just so big, so there are limits in terms of how much you can freeze cheeses, breads, and other things you might normally keep in the fridge. I'm constantly switching back and forth between 4 and 5 and I'm always worried about the safety of the cooked leftovers I have in there. I thought maybe I was blocking the vents so I came to this website to find out which ones I needed to steer clear of and of course the manual is not helpful in that regard, either. As far as I can tell there are so many vents that if you want to avoid blocking all of them you might get a whole 2 cubic feet of usable space so something is clearly not designed very well here.
