GE® ENERGY STAR® 20.9 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator

We've had the fridge for almost a month now and love it! Simple, well-designed, and for our purposes - spacious. (We have an old home so most refrigerators today won't fit in our galley kitchen). We hope it will continue to be reliable. So far - it's been great and we highly recommend.

We LOVE our new fridge. It's more narrow than our last but it's VERY roomy!  The only thing that would be better is if there was a shelf on the inside door of the freezer. 

We've only had the fridge a day. But already, there are things that we love about it. Because it's just 30 inches wide, we were able to tuck it away in an odd little alcove in out kitchen. That has enabled us to reclaim 10-12 square feet of floor space, which makes a gigantic difference in a small kitchen. It's a relatively simple fridge. But that is what we wanted. You can add on bells and whistles - ice maker, running water, etc. But we didn't want that. The light inside the fridge is the brightest I've ever had. So far, it's great. Check back in a month or so. I expect we'll love it even more.

Nice fridge, just wish the freezer door had storage shelf for small things like frozen veggies and stuff like that. Also, the freezer motor is a little noisy when it runs.

I wish there was a way to have small shelves on the freezer door. No pull handles and have opening from the side would save space. Other from that when I downsized to an apartment this is a good design.

The refrigerator/freezer works great. The refrigerator section is large, well lit, and easily accessible, with convenient adjustable shelves. The temperature seems perfect and keeps everything well. I do have a problem with the freezer. I had to replace my refrigerator in a hurry and did not see this one in person. My fault that I did not read the description thoroughly, but I was surprised on installation that the freezer door opened right to left, instead of being a pull-out drawer. I find this incredibly awkward as one has to squat down, duck one's head and reach back into it. It makes it hard to organize, reach things in the back and see what is in there. The freezer compartment would be perfect if it was on the top of the unit, but being on the bottom it is inconvenient and awkward. The unit itself works great, but the placement is terrible for one that is not a drawer. The other issue I have with this refrigerator/freezer is that it is incredible noisy. It sometimes sounds like a dishwasher that is running. In fact, when it was new, I found myself going into the kitchen to. see where the noise was coming from, and it was this refrigerator! In summary, it actually works great, I love the refrigerator compartment, but I don't like the freezer configuration and find it very noisy overall. If I were to buy it again, I would buy it with either the freezer on top or with the freezer being a pull-out drawer, but would not buy this one as it is.

SEEMS TO BE NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A QUALITY MADE PRODUCT ANYMORE. SURPRISED HOW CHEAPLY THIS IS BUILT FOR THE 41500 COST. I HAD TO REVERSE THE DOORS AND AS I DID I KEPT SHAKING MY HEAD IN DISAPPOINTMENT. IT IS SO LIGHT THAT EVERY TIME I OPEN THE DORRS THE REFRIGERATOR PULLS FORWARD. I guess I will be happy if I get eight years of not interrupted service.

i would give it 0 stars if i could! the thing only lasted 14 days, the appliance store is on their way to pick it up to fix it, but im going to get a full refund because i think this says it all about this unit. Its not going to last. this was my experience.

About a week after warranty expired it began to freeze vegetables in the drawers while not keeping ice cream frozen in the freezer. I had two different appliance repairmen come to house, both said it can't be repaired.
