You can certainly get after market filters for half the price, but since you change them so infrequently, I figured I'd go with the name brand (GE) original part. They have certainly gone up in price the last few years......so I recommend ordering a few to get a quantity discount and cheaper/free shipping,.....they don't go bad,....as long as you keep them in the box, and plan on having the fridge for a couple years.

This GE filter replaces a much less expensive filter I had purchased on the internet. I couldn't wait to get rid of that old filter that had a garden hose taste from the very beginning. I had bought a cheap product for a cheap price. I hope I have learned my lesson on water filters. This GE filter has no taste, which to me is excellent. Thankfully, Walmart was selling the GE filter at a discounted price.

I haven't installed it yet. I must say I Was really surprised how the 2 filters were packaged for delivery. The 2 filters in a large plastic bag with no type of filler being tossed around by the mail and delivery system. The boxes were banged up and looked old. I can't help but wonder if the plastic filters could have a crack in them. One of the reasons that I ordered from you was to order the newer model MWFP (which I ordered) However I received the MWF. From what I read the MWFP TAKES OUT MORE IMPURITIES. Needless to say, I am disappointed with this whole transaction.

You had what I needed in stock, and I got a very competitive price, too. Delivery was done in a timely fashion.

Very friendly installation. After you replace it you must drain at least 3 gals of water before start consuming the water.

I have been ordering MWF water filters from Walmart for some time. I get an excellent product with no problems in ordering. Would recommend this product and service to anyone.

Have tried third-party replacement filters, but they do not function as well as the GE Brand. Just have a hard time accepting the price of the GE filters, but Walmart's price is the most competitive that I have found.

The product has worked well since purchase. However, it was delivered in a Victoria secret box which has me concerned if it was refurbished or something. I would not purchase again.
