GE mySelectSmart Wireless Remote Control Switch, on/off, 1 Outlet, Ideal for Lamps & Indoor Lighting, No Wiring Needed, 36523, White

I first purchased these a few years back for my elderly Parents. It was difficult for them to reach under their bedroom lamp shade for the switch. The wireless remote switch worked perfectly and they loved the convenience and ease of just tapping the switch that I secured on each nightstand using Velcro. Now I have them in all my bedrooms and den in my own home. Very easy to set up and makes turning on a light so easy, especially in the middle of the night, no fumbling. I bought an extra wireless control switch for "just in case". It's getting harder to find them in my local store. I highly recommend.

This switch was exactly what I was looking for. However, be careful with the controller staying in the holder. It tends to fall out. Had to get a new one, because the last one shot out of the holder and now I cannot find it.

These GE light switch is great, I highly recommend them I have 3. They work great for bedroom family room. You just plug in to power source and you are done.

I just used it on a bedroom wall light and it is installed next to the light switch under a new 2n1 plate. this wall lamp was always a pain to turn on. no more. this is quick, easy to install

The ability to turn on or off multiple lights plugged into different circuits can be very handy. Our case has 3 lamps plugged into different outlets. We can turn them on or off as one. The only negative I've found is that if power to the outlet is lost, the outlet has to be re-paired with the switch/remote. This is with one switched outlet only so that may not be the case with all 3, I haven't tried the others. This isn't as issue unless the switched outlet is not conveniently accessed and power interruptions are common.

My laundry room does not have a ceiling fixture (the house was built in 1895) So I bought a wireless switch about 7 years ago. It finally died so I bought this GE switch to replace it because GE is a good brand name. This switch is a piece of junk. You take it apart to put the battery in it and drill holes to mount the back plate---and GOOD LUCK that is the last time you will see it together. The instructions say you can use the switch as a handy hand remote---they said that because they know you will never get it mounted on the wall. There are 2 microscopic springs that hold the switch inside the plate. I am lucky I have bi-focal glasses because 3 times those springs went shooting across the floor and I was on my hands and knees looking for them. I finally gave up trying to snap the plate back into place and now my wireless switch lies on my laundry table until I can find another wireless wall plug like the one that died.
