After reading many reviews about double oven ranges, I selected this one. It replaced a double oven range I had for many years. The double oven feature was a must for me. The top oven is large enough for a variety of pans. Also like the fact that I have a cooktop with the option of nine different burners! I was concerned about cleaning the cooktop, but that turned out to be very easy to maintain. The touchpad is easy to use and adds to the beauty of the stove. Very pleased with this new purchase.
I purchased this with a Profile microwave. The Chef Connect is a great feature. It is very easy to program with minimal instruction. I love the double oven. Being single it saves time and energy waiting for a full size oven to pre-heat and cook a small dish. The lower convection is also well worth the extra cash. I researched online and at local retail appliance stores prior to purchase. The sales people respect and recommend GE Profile products.
I ordered this because of the two oven convenience, which I love, the glass stove top and digital controls are so easy to keep clean. Cooks and bakes great! I would definitely recommend this range.
I bought the stove online and was a little concerned about not seeing it - but I needed not to worry. It is a great looking stove and works perfectly.
Like the oven. Very nice design, smooth lines, nice to look at, but it has one design flaw. When using the upper oven, drippings from any baking dish fall into the door vents of the lower oven when removing the dish from the upper oven. This causes the glass in the lower oven to get dirty BEHIND the glass. Try cleaning this mess! At first I thought my new oven would look dirty forever, but did find that with a very VERY awkward tool, I could clean the glass from underneath the door. Not good engineering GE. (I know, I am one.) I am only keeping the oven because it will be more of a pain to return it after installation than it's worth. RECOMMENDATION: place foil on the lower oven door vents when using the upper oven, OR be very careful not to let any juices spill.
Only had this range for a week now, so I honestly can't give much of a review. One thing that is VERY disappointing is the fact that this appliance DOES NOT come with an owners manual booklet. Just a couple of printed pages on how to operate the unit and does not go into detail. Our Crock Pot has a better owners manual than this range. SERIOUSLY GE, you can't print a nice owners manual for the cost of this range????
The stove looks nice and modern; touch buttons, bottom of stove elements outside the oven, etc. Some of the modern electronics leave me with a bit of worry; a few negatives first; I'm guessing the touch button display won't last very long, some "buttons" don't feel as positive as others when turning things on or off. The top burners default to the largest pan size element when turned on. I almost always need to change this to the smallest size. The oven light button turns both oven lights on or off, you can't use them independently using the display button. Our top oven light went out 4 days after purchase. A new bulb did not solve the problem, meaning the circuit board failed, there is no power to the socket (there are no fuses). Many of the screws fastening the rear of the oven are missing/and or loose and stripped out. The Bluetooth overhead hood sync is a marketing ploy. There are other hoods much better designed. A lot of features could have been better thought out. When you turn on an element, you must then press the +/- button. One press of the plus button turns the element all the way to high...aggravating! The ovens and top elements work very nice, the stove top burners and top look and work very well. Overall we like the stove but we are concerned with the touch pad display, the light failure, the somewhat cheap and rough sounding convection fan and some of the default operations. In the end, it really comes down to longitivity. In the past, the longest lasting appliances we have ever owned were G.E. We shall see....
At the end of 2020 I purchased GE profile double oven glass top stove, GE profile dishwasher, GE profile above the range microwave, and GE profile counter depth, French door refrigerator with the pullout freezer on the bottom. These have far been the worst appliances that I've ever owned. I've now been through two dishwashers .Two microwave's. A glass top for my stove and a refrigerator repair and now after using the self cleaning feature on my oven the inside glass on the bottom of door has cracked. It's almost now financially cost me the amount it would be to just go and purchase non-GE appliances that would probably last
While this product works well as far as cooking, it is very cheaply made. The end caps of the door handles are cheap plastic and at just a little over a year old both ends of the lower oven handle have broken off. They simply just broke off when I closed the oven door. This is just unacceptable for an oven this expensive. I'd add the photos but while this website gives you the option to upload photos it doesn't actually allow you to upload them.
Loved using our new oven and stove for the past year. I babied the thing and cleaned it constantly. Read through all the instructions, bought all new cookware so we wouldn't accidentally damage the stove top. Then today the stove top just decided to crack while cooking. Made it a whole year and 4 months. Its a shame because we've always bought GE products and now I'm going to second guess any further purchase.
