ice maker tank
got this extra tank to keep on hand for my opal ice maker. love the ice maker it has little opsl nuggets of ice.

Great product
The external water reservoir for the GE opal 2.0 is absolutely fantastic. It hooks up perfectly with the hose that already comes with the ice maker. The size is great it fits well just about anywhere. It is so easy to hook this external water reservoir up.

I have this and the icemaker. Got them for Christmas and this was the best present ever. I absolutely love love love this machine!!!

Difficult to fill, the design is very cumberson
You should put the top as opening rather than having to remove the tank and open the bottom valve to fill. I have one arm and it is incredible hard for me so usually have to have someone else fill it for me.

Design flaw
The extra side tank is nice to have, but it's a design flaw in my opinion to fill it from the bottom. There should be a way to refill it from the top without having to take the entire unit out turn it over and fill it from the bottom

Great Ice - post screeching incident
After 2 weeks of use the icemaker began making an awful screeching noise. We Sanitized the machine and this seems to have fixed the issue. Able to enjoy the product once again.

Tank
It makes using the ice machine so much easier, not having to refill the machine reservoir all the time. We had to replace the side tank after it started leaking out of the sides and top- not sure how it happened, may have been a kid dropped it when refilling.

Easier way to fill the to side tank
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just wish it was a way that you could add water in our case water bottles to pour into the side tank without having to remove the side tank to have the plug on the very top and pour the water in from the top where you don't have to ever touch the side tank.

Using this attachment changes Ice to slushie
The Opal 2.0 worked perfect out of the box ( nice cubed ice ). After installing this attachment, the ice starts becoming shaved / slush. No cubes at all. Remove this attachment and fill from front (like base model) and ice turns back into cubes.
