GE Profile Opal Mini Pro Nugget Ice Maker With 0.5 Gallon Side Tank WiFi Stainless Steel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very satisfied with this ice maker. The setup was quick and easy, and it started producing ice in on time. The side water tank makes it convenient to refill without having to do it constantly. It operates in quietly, the ice freezes quickly and has a great consistency. My drinks stay cold longer and the machine produces ice consistently. I'm very happy with it's performance and would definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who doesn't love nugget ice?! This nugget ice maker has been a great addition to our kitchen. It took about 45 minutes to set up all of the parts, run a clean cycle, and connect the ice maker to the SmartHQ app. The app has a lot of cool features - it alerts you when it's time to add more water, it states when the machine is making ice, it reports on the overall health of the machine, it can adjust the lighting on the machine, and it can be used to order additional parts. The machine started making ice within a few minutes of setting it up and the bin was completely full after just over an hour. The machine does make noticeable noise while actively making ice but it isn't too loud. The included drip tray is a must - when you open the bin to scoop ice with the plastic scooper that is provided, water from melted ice will drip. This machine is the perfect size for a countertop and is great for everyday use, as well as while hosting guests and larger events.

It seems like it is built sturdy and the design is aesthetically pleasing. It comes with a scoop, holder, side water tank, filter, and descaling powder. Setting up the ice machine was easy as they provided QR codes for either a virtual set up or a video walk through. It makes some ice within 15-20 minutes and will continue to pull from the water reserve or the melted ice catch until the bin is full. It also has WiFi connectivity so it can notify you if water may be low. The nugget ice is crisp and refreshing. Overall I have found this ice machine to be efficient, sleek and enjoyable.

I purchased a fridge without an icemaker, thinking I didn't need one, and a few years in I realized that was a big mistake. since setting this up I have used it every single day. It makes ice really quickly and it is extremely quiet, which is a big plus. It also does not take up a lot of space on my counters, which is a big thing for me because I don't like a lot of clutter and it's aesthetically pleasing to not clash with any of my decor. I feel like the ice just lasts a lot longer in my drinks and it doesn't make them go flat like the larger ice cubes do so I can enjoy a really really cold drink without having to worry about rushing to drink it so that it doesn't lose all of the fizz.

I've wanted a nugget ice machine forever but I didn't want another massive appliance on my countertop or taking up space in my pantry, I was very excited about the size and sleek design of the opal mini pro! Perfect for personal use for a family, would not work well to accommodate a party due to the ‘'mini' of it all. It makes real nugget ice in a short amount of time- maybe 20 minutes and we had enough for all of our big tumblers. It's quiet and easy to use. Set up was quick and simple, the app is user friendly if you choose to use it, and the ice has that satisfying nugget crunch. I would highly recommend this product! We can't use the ice maker in our fridge due to heavy metals in our water so this offers a great solution. Recommended cleaning is 1x per month or so, super easy cleaning cycle. Takes 3 minutes.

The ice maker itself is quiet, like a humidifier (very mild noise, almost calming). I use this every single day now. I love that it has the side tank so I don't need to think about refilling it too much.

It makes ice quickly and the nugget ice is great quality the side tank helps it run longer without adding water often! The maintenance is simple and it is easy to clean the price is a little high but the performance and quality make it worth it

This ice maker was bought after 4 failed attempts with the Profile Hearth and Hand That screeching noise at no end -made me look elsewhere and this seemed the perfect answer. Different filter , top fill, but the ice is not that famous sonic chewable ice. It's bullet hard.

This product, the GE Opal ice machine I received it with great anticipation, having had one. When I received the box, I opened it up to find the machine I could not open the container that held the ice because it was full of miscellaneous parts for the making of the ice it could not be open no matter how hard I tried so I had to return it. My money is tied up all 400 and something dollars to wait two weeks before I could order another one which made me disgusted at the thought that you can't return something with the same faith that I bought it with it made me feel like I was ripping them off, and in fact, they ripped me off Walmart did their part rectify the situation which I get greatly appreciated. I called several telephone commerce conversations and was told I'm sorry, sir. There's nothing we can do to help you. That was GE's response. Shipping me a product that could not be utilized and that I was on my own to rectify the situation so long and short of it is that again what is a GE this product, the GE Opal ice machine I received it with great anticipation, having had one.
