GE Profile - UltraFast 4.8 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Smart Front Load Washer and Electric Dryer Combo with Ventless Heat Pump - Carbon Graphite

Bought this combo to save space , use 110 voltage and have space for a laundry tub in place of a 2nd machine . Have had it now for 2 months and like this all I one more each time I use it . Clothes come out dry but not baked to where towels are rough on the skin . We searched the other two makers , whirlpool and LG and liked a few things about the GE such as the better door gasket , controls and the GE name . We did not find the issue with lint filter not catching all the lint maybe because we got the new lint filter design with ours . I don't know how the old lint filter would have not performed without modifications ? We did buy the 3 year extended warranty for peace of mind just in case . Overall I give it 5 stars

We purchased the GE Profile to save space avoid upgrading electrical and cutting holes in walls for venting standard dryers. We were downsizing our home to a place almost 50% smaller and needed to think outside of the box while keeping within a budget for the whole remodel project. We have now used it for 18 months and have no complaints.

I'm not sure why these get a bad rap. We love ours. We forget laundry in the thing all the time because our lives are super busy. It cleans everything we put in it and we just clean the filter after every use not when it says to. I use a paint brush to clean it, works pretty good. We have tried regular cloths, towels, blankets, and I small summer comforter. Everything comes out perfect and if you want it dry to the touch just hit more dry. If it's a bit damp and you pull it out, it seems like the clothes wrinkle less so I like that. Anyway this is after about a month of use. I will try to update at a later date but we love it.

I love this thing. I bought 2. cost the same as a new washer and drier. now laundry time is cut in half. I've had a heat pump drier for years so i am used to the extra few minutes of dry time. but you save so much overall time it is worth it. and if you forget the clothes in there overnight they do not stink. washes great too and the auto detergent feature is awesome!

Right now I'm giving it 3 stars, because even after I have cleaned it all the filters and replaced them, it keeps telling me to do it. I haven't had it a month yet. However, I will say I love the convenience of not having to worry about swapping clothes over. The filter is just like everyone else has said, I figured by now they would've fixed that issue with the 26 model.

Don't buy this! Ive had mine since October of 2023 and it's been nothing but problems. Filter constantly needs cleaning and lint clogs up constantly so clothes don't dry. I tried to return it within the first 6 months and could not. I've kept it because I spent so much money, but Im going to bite the bullet and just get rid of it. It was the worst appliance purchase I have ever made. I asked GE to just give me a credit so I could purchase a regular washer and dryer and they would not. I would have gladly purchased another GE washer and dryer. I just need to get rid of this all in one Profile. It has made washing clothes incredible stressful!

Love this unit for first 6 months. but now has persistent issues w/ lint accumulate that are due poor design. Specifically, unit is experiencing significant internal lint accumulation beyond normal lint filter collection. Lint appears to be bypassing the filter system and accumulating internally around the heat pump / condenser area. Drying performance has progressively degraded, with longer dry times and incomplete drying. Unit is being maintained according to GE instructions, including regular lint filter cleaning, but lint buildup continues internally in areas not accessible for routine consumer maintenance.

THIS WAS THE WORST PURCHASE OF MY LIFE! HATE IS NOT A STRONG ENOUGJ WORD FOR HOW I FEEL ABOUT IT! It takes 3-4 hours regardless of cycle or amount of clothes inside and it often changes settings on its own and has even restarted a cycle! It looks good but that's all it has to offer. DO NOT BUY!

This unit is absolutely not worth the investment. The machine does not do what is advertised. After a year of use we absolutely regret buying a machine like this. Takes at least an additional hour of run time to dry. After 4 different service providers working on the machine, it still doesnt work correctly.

It is unfortunate that the incredible engineering on 95% of this machine can be ruined by the poor engineering of the lint filter! As it is, the lint filter on this machine is inadequate. It allows unfiltered air to bypass the lint filter. This, in turn , allows the buildup of debris/hair on the fins/heat pump assembly. If I hadn't had the additional warranty, I would've been left with a machine that NEVER got the laundry dry and always left a musty smell on everything. I feel that GE should issue a recall for the original lint filter assembly and that they need to add an improvement pack for the current lint filter assembly, (to block and filter the air that is able to get around the current air filter assembly.) I live on a farm, have an indoor cat and two dogs, one of which is a husky mix (and sheds accordingly!) I clean out the vent and Lynne filter after just about every single load. The repair technicians said “the fins look great“ and that my machine was one of the cleanest of its type that they had seen. It took several trips to finally get my machine repaired and functioning properly. They changed out the entire heat pump assembly. If I am able, I will leave pictures of what I pulled out of the hole that was supposed to drain from the condenser. It was full of dog hair that had gotten past the lint filter. I am not happy that I have to pay for the new lint filter assembly that, according to other people with this same model, say is a definite improvement over the foam filter assembly, but still does not address the “blow by“ issue.
