Not what I ordered but was a substitute
The GE remote was a substitute for the name brand which was Roku remote. I wasn't sure if it was going to work, so I was a little anxious. To my surprise, it works better than the name brand Roku. The GE remote feels sturdy, hooks up automatically and was a little over a dollar cheaper. I would definitely recommend this remote.

Does The Job
I bought this for streaming movies and Weather4Us, not because it had batteries. You cannot rely on batteries installed from the manufacturer anyway, right? So plan on replacing them soon. It works as any generic remote control, buttons respond quickly, keys are firmly in place, and I like it.

I love dis remote and I didn't have to press or set up anything..It works soon as u install the batteries.. I'll be buying two more before price goes up

Love that I could of gotten a replacement remote very easy-to-use and easy to connect it to my roku tv and it's sleek and no extras love it highly recommend

Compact, and much better than the older model.
My remote control, just died on me, I told my daughter, and she reminded me I had it forever, but this one is perfect for my Roku, its smaller which I prefer, I didn't notice how long the older model was.

I was so happy to get a quality replacement remote that worked straight out of the box...no programming....no tv codes...no buttons on the side to accidentally press

Not typical
This does not take a 3A battery. It takes a 2A battery. The buttons are atypical, but once you get used to them, they are fine. I do not know enough about remote controllers to know if this is actually better than typical controllers. Just be aware that it is not the same. I said I would not recommend it. But actually, I would. Just with qualifiers as shown above.

Possibly spyware
Button layout is changed from the roku remote. The buttons dont do the same thing the buttons with the symbols do on the remote its replacing. Its much bulkier and heavier. It takes heavier AA batteries instead of the AAA batteries the roku remote used. The second i pointed it at the tv it started installing apps i didnt ask it to.

its not the remote I ordered and only works for tvs that already have factory installed roku. i have the seperate roku plug ins and this remote wont work for it

Arrived used, not working
Item arrived used. The packaging was previously open, then retapped shut and was missing everything (including instructions) but the remote itself, which did not work at all.
